Hi I am freaking out! I feed her and JoJo and then give her the injection 15 minutes after she eats I have no cat food and have to go out but now do not want to leave her

I don't think she will suddenly drop below 50 so she's still safe.....

It's the drop that will cause her to bounce again sometime later today.... could be soon....

you could give her some human food, cheese... scrambled egg.... deli meat ( w/o sugar)

if the store is only a 30 minute jaunt, you could run off now....

It might be wise in the future to feed and shoot, and then try to give a second breakfast at +1 or +2. See if we can't slow down the drop.
THANK YOU I can wait until 2PM to go out I need food for tonight The problem is she is hardly eating she has always been this way She loves the Hand Flaked Salmon Treats so that is what I keep giving her She does not like any human food not even tuna!!! Thank you for being here!!

Does she show any signs of nausea?
There is usually a very subtle lip smack when you offer food, they will ask for food, smell it, and do this little lip smack, and turn away.

No she eats it but just a little she just went back to her breakfast now and ate a little She would eat a whole bag of the Salmon Hand flaked treats There are 3.99 a bag so I unfortunately have to give her and JoJo 4 each at a time How ever when she drops like this I give her more because she will eat them

remember, the bounce is coming ....

you are safe to go get food....
I don't think she's ready to descend into greens just yet.....

i've got to run, gotta go work....

In the grand scheme of things, a drop of 200 points when you're starting in the 400s isn't that big of a deal. Amethyst was in very safe territory. Granted, you've not seen much yellow so not being sure of where numbers were going can be a bit anxiety provoking.

If it were me, I'd have tried feeding low carb first to try to slow down the drop.

Hi thank you she only eats a little of the FF and then waits for the Hand Flaked Treats They are all meat and fish

A bit of housekeeping, here is the link to yesterday's post.

A note on dose, if you don't see low blues/greens by end of night tomorrow, it's time to go up to 8.0 units on Friday. Sometimes cats will respond to dose increase threats. Let's see what this dose for Amethyst.

Looks like an exciting week for Amethyst! It's great to see more yellow/pink than red. She bounced quickly after her first blue, but she came back down quickly as well.
