Am I feeding too much?

My Milo has recently been more interested in his new wet low calorie food (friskiest pate), when I first switched him he wasn't interested but now he is eating close to 3 cans a day. He is still underweight at this moment so I have been feeding him as long as he still wants food, am I wrong and overfeeding? He is eating small meals and has not shown any signs of nausea.

I would weight Milo frequently and see if he is gaining weight and adjust the amount you feed accordingly.
I would also increase dose to 1 ¼ units. Getting better BG control will help with gaining weight. I recommend that you get more at least partial curves within means a preshot and then some BGs between shots. YOu have fw of thos.

Unfortunately I don't have a scale to weigh him, he is very skinny right now, I can feel his hop bones when petting him not as much as before but still worrisome. I have needles that have up to 20 units would I just eyeball the dosage?

If you have a human scale, weigh yourself. Then, pick Milo up and weigh both of you. The difference between your weight and your weight + Milo's weight will be what he weighs. Otherwise, see if you can find a used baby scale on Craig's List or other list.

Alternatively, feed him as much as he wants! He needs calories if he's underweight.

I do have a human scale but it is a cheap unreliable one, when I weigh myself it always gives me different readings even if I do multiple weigh seconds apart.

Since he started eating more wet food I have been feeding frequent meals and I am thankful for your reassurance that it is fine to do so. I really appreciate all the advice I receive.

I used to get mine from Walmart but I think the Lantus and Vetsulin syringes are different
Lantus is a U-100 insulin and we use U-100 syringes for it. Vetsulin is a U-40 insulin and we typically use U-40 syringes, but some people will use U-100 syringes and a conversion chart to get smaller doses of Vetsulin. Alternatively, there are quite a few manufacturers that produce U-40 syringes with half unit markings. Here is the search results for them on ADW.
