aluminum hydroxide OK for kitty on insulin?

Hi all,
I have been posting as a foster mommy for Alex Olivia......she is a new foster and I am new to diabetes! Her numbers on Monday - tuesday were 248-309. After going on insulin her numbers have been 195-211. When she had her blood panel worked up on Monday her BUN was a little high (47). Wondering if it's OK to give aluminum hydroxide in the wet food of a kitty on insulin? Thanks!

Short answer: yes.

My Smokey was on Aluminum Hydroxide Gel Powder as a phosphorous binder
for his CRF and was also diabetic.

The AH does not raise BG.
