Alternatives to churu treats and broths?

Dracula is used to eating churu treats and their broths, but it looks like neither is great for his new diabetes diagnosis. Does anyone have suggestions for similar diabetic friendly options to spice up his new diet? I also used to feed him some dry treats (party mix) which is horrible, so I’m thinking of switching to dr. Elsey’s clean protein bites.
 
Churus are fine for treats. One treat (or topper) that cats often go wild for is freeze dried meat. Or dried bonita flakes. Some people will bake a chicken breast and cut it into small cubes for treats.
 
Bonito, or unsmoked tuna flakes, are a perennial hit here

Freeze dried meat or fish treats. PureBites is one popular brand. There are lots of others: Vital Essentials, Northwest Naturals, Stella and Chewy's, etc.

If you're in the US, check to see what Chewy has. Look for treats that are just 100% meat or fish. Look in the dog treat section, too. Sometimes a brand makes one freeze dried treat but one is for cats and one is for dogs. The dog bag is bigger which means more treats. Break up the treats into smaller pieces for a cat.

Thanks, that’s a relief to hear churu are ok. I was worried about some of the ingredients. Dracula’s picky and never liked freeze dried meat. I tried again yesterday with a new kind and it’s a no go.
