Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't take him back up to 0.1U... He seems to be stabilizing on the 0.05U, but not really bringing his numbers down. I'll hold him here until the weekend and see what he looks like, and maybe increase on Saturday...

Here's a thought... do cats get allergies? Neither hubby nor I had allergies until we moved to east Texas, now we both take Claritin this time of year. Right now, it's cedar pollen, but pine is coming up soon. Plus all the trees are blooming (I have peach and Bradford pear), the Carolina Jasmine is blooming, and the azaleas and crepe myrtle are close behind. So, could his numbers be caused by allergies? He does sneeze every once in a while and seems to have a bit of a drippy nose at times. He is (as are the 3 civies) an indoor cat, but I do open the windows when the temps are nice...
 
I would keep him with this dose for at least two more cycles. Are you still doing the mini meals at certain times? That seemed to be really helping.
I don't know about allergies. I moved from CA to NJ and do seem to get them or something like allergies, a little. I guess cats can get them too. If he's not sneezing a lot or doesn't seemed to be overly bothered with a runny nose etc, I bet they are not causing higher BGs.

Still doing mini-meals, although it seems to be 2:30 a.m., then 5:30 a.m., then 6:30 a.m. EVERYONE is hungry at 2:30, so I test Chuck and feed the crew. Evenings aren't as bad for some reason; they're OK with 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Of course, since I'm considering a dose change, he'll likely bounce all over the place the rest of the week <sigh!>...

The allergy thing was a shot in the dark... don't know how they affect my BGs, just know that I'm not comfortable without the Claritin...
 
Allergy could raise BG. However, you'd see signs that Chuck was uncomfortable. When Gabby has gotten seasonal allergies, she starts licking excessively. If Chuck doesn't have problems with fish, you could add omega-3 to his diet. It acts as an anti-inflammatory. I wouldn't use fish oil that you can get at the pharmacy. There's a substantial variation in the concentration of omega-3 from brand to brand. Jill has recommended Nordic Naturals.
