Alex has certainly come a long way and other than looking a little thinner than he was before going DKA, nobody would ever guess that he has diabetes. I know many of my friends and family thought the diagnosis was a death-sentence. And if it weren't for this board, maybe it would have been. So, I want to say thank you so much to all of you for you advice, support, and willingness to just "be there".
Take a look at Alex's SS and tell me what you think about the 1.0 dose vs. 1.1. Not much difference in insulin, I agree, but 1.0 doesn't seem quite enough while 1.1 "almost" got us into some trouble. I certainly don't want Alex to go hypo, but it seems that 1.1 might be better. Let me know your thoughts.
