He seemed to be feeling better yesterday and stayed by the window for some time and curiously watched outside covered with snow. He still has a bit of harsh voice but no sneezing for 2 days. Eating well. Peeing and drinking a lot. I worry each time I saw a high number above 350 and am disappointed. It will be the 6th cycle tonight.

with his brother, rin. akane's colour was orangish.

Unlike Shiela's Beau and Jeddie, they are only pal in winter when they are cold

Awwww... so cute! Thanks for the photos. They look like color and black & white versions of the same kitty.

As for the numbers, you may want to go back to .3u. I know it hasn't been the allotted 3 days settle time, but those 300s combined with his respiratory infection are making me nervous. What do you think?

What do others think?

Those pictures are too cute for words! So sweet. :)

Yes, agree with Sheila, back up to .3u.

Glad he 'seems' to be feeling better though. Hope your Lysine comes soon. You might want to give the same dose to his brother when it comes as a preventative measure. If he does have a herpes type virus it can be contagious and wouldn't hurt to give some to him too for a short while.

Curious, what are their ages?

ETA what is the interferon injection for?

Yeah, I think his cold is overriding his insulin. We always worry about cats which have infections and do not show good BG control because ketones can occur very quickly. Have you read about how to test the urine for ketones?

Thank you everyone! I checked ketone on 16th and it was negative. They will be 14 years old this year, Pamela. Interferon was for immune support, the vet said lightly. I could only ask if those treatment including acyclovir were OK with diabetic cat and she said no problem, lightly. :? Well..
