Air bubbles

Morning friends. I'm having a huge problem lately with having a small air bubble trapped in the syringe. To the point where I'm going through 2-3 syringes out of frustration each time I give insulin. My bottle is still 3/4 full. I'm not doing anything different than I was. Do you have any suggestions? I'm so worried I could kill Charley.

Air bubbles in the bloodstream is the biggest worry, when it comes to air bubbles in the syringe. Since we are shooting subQ, I don't worry about the small ones. And since we're using ProZinc, I don't hesitate to push the insulin and air bubble back into the syringe to draw again. I've done this all along and am about 3/4 through my bottle. Some insulins don't take kindly to having the insulin go bottle-syringe-bottle-syringe but the ProZinc seems to be ok with it. (For many, many years my two diabetic brothers have had to do the bottle-syringe-bottle-syringe to get rid of persistent air bubbles.)

Just my two cents.

I'm starting to think this new batch of syringes might be wonky. I didn't have this problem before. It's just so aggravating, especially at 5am!!! Thanks for your input.

I've also been pushing/pulling the plunger several times before inserting into the insulin bottle. Now, instead of a bubble at the bottom (close to the plunger) I get one larger bubble at the top. I overfill, then in-and-out-and in again, and it goes away. I think it's all trial & error. Someone told me before (on health, about 1.5-2 months ago) to twist the plunger. Didn't work for me, but maybe for you if the other ways don't.
