Advice please... high fever & high white cell count

I just spoke with my vet. Revson is newly diagnosed with diabetes. He is in the kitty ICU with DKA. He has a urinary tract infection that they are treating with antibiotics. I don't know the insulin they are using by IV, but his numbers were in the 200s. Yesterday (I think), they gave him his first dose of Lantus by injection, overnight his numbers rose to the mid 300s. He has a fever of 103, but it's gone down to 102. His white blood cell count is 32,000. They have taken a blood sample to test for pancreas probs, but the results won't be back until tomorrow.

Sorry I dont have advice or experience with this but I believe your kitty is in the right place at the Vets. He sounds very sick. I'm sending prayers he get better very soon.
Maybe take one of your old t shirts (preferably not washed) so he can smell your scent to let him know you're near.
