My Lexie seem to be relapsing and I'm taking her to the vet this afternoon, her BG this morning was 362. We haven't had a high number like that in years. Lexie has been OTJ (diet controlled) for the last 4+ yrs and I have got to the point where I only check her BG every few month or if she seems off. I was on the boards years ago when Lexie was on Lantus, and with the help of those her I was able to get diabetes under control by changing her diet. She has been throwing up a little for the last couple of day, but she isn't pee a lot or drinking a lot of water either so I'm not sure if something else could be the cause of the spike in her BG.

Any though or advice are welcome.

Thanks

Vomiting and elevated glucose makes me wonder about pancreatitis

You might try 1/4 of a Pepcid AC to see if it helps her tummy.

Thanks, i didn't even think of that. It's been so long since Lexie has had any problem. We are still go to th vet, but i will still try the pepcid.

Lantus is still a great insulin to use.

Hope the vet finds out what is going on with Lexie and she starts feeling better soon.
