Adopting out a diabetic cat

Hi,
For those of you who have fostered and adopted out a diabetic cat, do you have any suggestions? We are ready to put Shadow up for adoption.... His numbers aren't perfect, but they are better than when he first got here and I think we are going in the right direction.

Well, think of it as match making.

What are his characteristics that might interest someone?
- sex, neuter status, age, breed/type, color, fur length
- Does he like to play much?
- Or is he more of a lap cat?
- Is he indoors only?
- Is he good with other cats?
- Good with dogs?
- Good with kids?
- Up to date on vaccines?
- how is he with traveling in a car? Going to the vet? etc.

What are the characteristics that will make someone a good adopter for him?
- a regular schedule
- committment to feeding a low carb diet
- committment to giving insulin
