All of a sudden my vet gave me chondroprotec instead of the Adequin Nelli was on, which btw was working well- very well.
I’ve (thoroughly) researched this drug. Only, of course found its use ( results) for equines.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of how this drug, compared to adequate and works on felines?

Your input is greatly appreciated… I am at a crossroads (Nellie is out of Atequan),,whether to buy this other drug from vet or send RX off to chewies for Attaquin o_O.

Sorry this is a question coming to you with somewhat of an urgency on feedback

My concern is that the manufacturer (and the description in your link) say it is for topical use, not for injection.

Chondroprotec is a sterile solution used to aid in the treatment of wounds, lesions, burns and other trauma in horses, dogs and cats. Chondroprotec contains polysulfated glycosaminoglycan . Each 10 ml of Chondroprotec contains 1000 mg polysulfated glycosaminoglycan. Chondroprotec is indicated for use in the treatment of secreting and bleeding dermal lesions, first and second degree burns, trauma injuries, pressure ulcers, Venous Statis ulcers, donor sites and partial and full thickness wounds. Reapply Chondroprotec daily and redress wound site every 5-7 days or as needed. Polysulfated glycosaminoglycan.

I would use Adequan. Just make sure you get the canine Adequan. The Equine Adequan is a single use vial since it does not contain a preservative like canine one does.

Thanks...
It is an injection but I agree with you regarding its primary use! Apparently it is prescribed as “off label”
Was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of this drug used for feline- and or had used it before on their kitty cat

Call the vet and ask why since the other was helping. She/he didn't say anything about the switch?
They told me that adequate and was very expensive and this is less expensive. Less expensive? They are selling this drug, trying to, for $154! I can get Adaquin at chewies for $129! Reason I even am posting about this other drug is because vet office has changed their policy- no longer will confirm a script over the phone from an Internet company. Obviously they want you to buy from them, right? Nelli is out and I was not aware of their new policy… Chewies tells me the time line of us receiving is 7 to 10 days after I’ve sent in paper script :(
