Adequin for frequent UTI?

Has anyone here used Adequin injections for a kitty with reoccurring UTI's? My vet first recommended Dasequin because it does something to the mucus lining of the urethra and reduces the occurrence of UTI's. It has definitely reduce these in my one Kitty but now she has said the Adequin also works. Thanks for any info.

I never heard of Adequan for UTIs but have heard of Cosequin/Dasequin.
In any event, hopefully Adequin will some be available soon.

Wink hasn't had any recurring UTI's since I switched him from dry to wet food and added about 1 tablespoon of water to each serving.

My vet has told me in the past that they prescribe Adequan for urinary problems.

Too bad the Adequan is not available due to factory renovations. Possibly available again soon, in late August. That's much better than the original estimate of sometime in 2014.
