Hi All,

I tested Minnie’s AMPS today and as I was getting the blood droplet onto the strip she moved her ear so most of it ended up on my finger. But I though hey, it doesn’t matter where the blood comes from so I scooped up from my finger onto the strip and got a 191. Just to be safe a did another test right away as there was still some blood in her ear and I got 214. I’m wondering if this range difference is normal because obviously one result is under 200 and the other is over which would determine what kind of dose I’m giving her. Test strips expiration is a year from now and I just got them a few weeks ago from affordable diabetic.

Thanks!

did your meter come with a "control solution" that you can use to test and confirm ?
in our alphatrak 2 it was in a tiny white plastic bottle tucked into the meter's case pocket.
No it didn’t come with it, but the manual talks about to and I’m assuming I can order it so I’ll look into it. Thanks!

I couldn’t agree more!
Check out the tongue sticking out haha! :) <3
