The list of compatible smartphones at this address: https://www. freestyle.abbott /ie /en/librelink/compatibility-guide.html *
is YEARS out of date. I just bought an S5 model from that list, went to Google Play to download the app: not compatible with the phone.
Just had a quite ill-tempered discussion with an Abbott representative - poor girl, not her fault, but it took her some time to stop repeating 'that model is no longer compatible' and listen to my complaint that I bought it because their website specifically recommended it, and they need to take that page down! I'll send them a complaint email as well.
Not happy. My husband will have to shoot blind for a couple of days while I'm away - I can't afford the Abbott sensor right now. We're just about to move house, stress is high... could have done without stupid bad information on their website!
* I've put gaps in so it won't be a live link

My partner had similar problems for his (human) diabetes! His diabetes educator told him that his phone should work with the freestyle libre 14 day sensors, but it was outdated information. Thankfully they were able to get his insurance to cover the cost for the meter that can scan it. Do you know which one you're needing?
