I wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted advice and reassurance over the last couple of months as we struggled to get Tasha comfortable with the cat sitter. We flew away Friday afternoon and back home Monday evening. Tasha wasn't tested during that time and the sitter only gave .5u in the morning while we were gone. Her number was high (395) Monday night but all things considered, she acted just fine. Minimal messes, no fighting with the sitter, etc. She was happy to see us and immediately asked to be tested so she could have some chicken treats.
My husband's so pleased, he's planning another trip.
Now, if we can just get her numbers regulated a bit and get the glucose out of her urine... But it's HUGE progress!!!
