I really wanted to share this. I get daily "Stress Tips" from a website I subscribe to (Third Way Cafe) and I found today's tip very helpful to me (I'm running on empty today and needed a "check") and hope it helps someone out here on the boards with the stress of FD, as well as general life stressors...Here's a copy & paste of the Tip:
Don't deny yourself occasional "sprawl" time.

Sprawl time is that unplanned, spontaneous time when you almost involuntarily disengage from an arduous task to flip through a magazine, lapse into a conversation, putter around aimlessly, or drift off into a reverie. Don't chide yourself on such occasions. Or feel guilty you've put time to no worthwhile purpose. Quite the contrary. Look at these interludes as circuit breakers, telling you to ease up and rest a bit or you'll burn yourself out, become irritable, frustrated, overstressed. Rather than resist, let your mind and body welcome these relaxing breaks from the unrelenting grind.

Thanks, Kat,
I'm going to share this with my boss. Help him understand that "breaks" are a good thing:-)

I completely agree. I also believe in "veggie days". On my veggie days, I curl up with a good book or movie and and ignore the rest of the world. I may not answer the phone, go anywhere and sometimes, just remain pj's for the day. Everyone needs time to disconnect from the everyday stress that is in their life. That is my way of doing it.
