Hi...an active member on the yahoo pancreatic group said she was denied membership to this forum.. Her beloved cat was just dx with Diabetes and the group referred her to this forum. Should she try again to join? Please advise. TY

Hi Lynn,

What do mean when you say that she was "denied" being a member?
This is an open access forum that only requires that a person completes the registration process. Did she have a problem with the registration process?

Yes, definitely encourage her to try again!
To register, she needs to click the 'register' button on the top right hand corner of any of the FDMB forum pages. (You won't be able to see that button unless you log out, as you are already registered.) The first page of the registration process asks that the applicant ticks the box to agree to the terms and conditions, and then the applicant will be taken to another page to register. (She may then be sent an email that she needs to acknowledge (it's a long time since I registered so I'm not sure about that one!)

If she has problems she could email the webmaster at (I think!); webmaster@felinediabetes.com

Lynn,
That shouldn't be possible. As one of the Board's moderators, I can tell you that there isn't any "approval" process for new members. People don't get approved or denied when they sign up.

Please have her try again?

Carl
