I just wanted to say a general thank you to everyone on this board who has answered questions for me, helped me through hypos, dosing amounts, etc.

For those of you who don't know, Sam went into DKA at the beginning of Dec and spent 7 long, rocky days in the animal hospital. He came home on 2 units of prozinc and a bunch of other meds. He was lethargic and skinny and generally a sad camper.

Today, he's on .6 units of prozinc (and nothing else), he's gained 2 pounds, his coat is soft and shiny and flake-free. But this morning was the best - he was jumping around and chasing after a ribbon on a stick like he was a kitten again. The change in a month's time is astonishing. Miraculous, really. And I give much of that credit to this board.

Thank you all for giving me my boy back!

Its one thing to get great advice (which one always gets from this board), but its another to have the wisdom to use it for the benefit of your kitty. So good job Kristen. So glad that Sam has bounced back to his kittie self.

Kristen it's be so wonderful watching sam's #'s getting better. And you have been such an excellent mama bean during some nailbite_smile times. Sam is one gorgeous kitty!
