Boo to afternoon blues! He ate a lot at PS and after +3.5 testing. I don't ever limit or regulate his food but maybe that is the problem.

Any chance he got into high carb food (human or feline)?

Hi, Bhooma!!

The only human food he’s interested in (obsessed!!) is seaweed and beef jerky and we haven’t had that around in the past few days. His sister has mostly transitioned to wet food with him but eats the low carb dry Dr. Elsey’s chicken food. We put a small amount (1/4 cup-ish) out at a time for her. Sugar was eating it in the beginning but something in it makes him pukey so he avoids it. Neither of us have seen him around that bowl in months, but it’s possible he ate some.

Another possible factor is that I usually am the one to give shots but my wife did about half of the ones this week. We are going to watch each other to make sure we are eyeballing the dose the same way.

Dr. Elsey's kibble has been known to affect the BG of some cats - even though it's LC.

Will keep a closer eye on it when we feed Spicy and leave it empty overnight. We’ll see what the next week brings and try again!
