good morning, everyone,

Rusty had an exciting evening. He caught 2 mice in the cabin. Then he played with them, injured them, but showed no signs of wanting to eat them, perhaps because he has so few teeth. So we intervened and Edward gave them a merciful
Death by drowning. Our great hunter spent a lot of time looking for more mice, but he may have gotten all. He was very proud of himself. I was sad to watch the brave way the little creatures struggled to get away from the huge preditor. They were so tiny. They may have been babies. Fly free, little Mouserls! You will be remembered!

So the hunter is still in the yellow this morning. He showed signs of breaking the bounce last night, so maybe today willbe the day.

Today is a day of camp chores and a short paddle on the lake. Later we hope to find out what happened on day 2 of the race. Conditions must have been horrific. Tomorrow we are leading a paddle on the Cedar River Flow, a very beautiful paddle in the fall. Home on Tuesday.

Wishing all a fine day. It is quite cool here and expected to go down into the 30s tonight.

Morning and wow with Rusty and the mousies! I was wondering what happened with the race with the storm yesterday! I hope Rusty breaks the bounce. Maggie has decided to keep Rusty company on the yellow floor.

Rusty! Might Mouse Hunter! DUDE! You so totally rock. TWO mice??? very well done. What an exciting evening for you guys.

Enjoy the paddle today - hope it is fun. You will have to report on what happened on day 2 of the race. I can only imagine what it was like... I hope they all did OK.

Hope Rusty comes down for you today. Have fun with your paddle. I too was wondering how everyone did on Day 2 of the race. I can't imagine what the conditions were.

It looks like Rusty is settling nicely into camp. Down to blues and two mousies! Neko just likes to play with prey too, but she has her teeth. I guess they prefer what comes out of the can.

Hi again,
Rusty didn't see any mice today. Maybe this evening. He did give a tree squirrel a run for his money. We spent th,e day doing chores, getting ready to close up camp for the winter in a few weeks . Tomorrow a paddle. Still haven't gotten to many condos. Sorry if I missed yours.

Hey Rusty! My bean says you caught mousies. She says I can come help you hunt but I gotz to eat them if I catch them. Be there soon! - Tarragon
 
Another mouse showed up just as we were about to do the beddime test. Rusty was off and runnung. He is incredibly skilled. Once again we finally had to intervene because Rusty wanted to play with the poor mouse again and again.

Hoping for better numbers tomorrow, our last day at camp tis trip.
