..had our appt. went fast. unremarkable. his pressure has come down to 180 (frm 210..) they suggest a dose of BP meds at night too.. referred it to his primary to see what she thinks; cuz know for people that meds can take 2-4 weeks to show what they can do.. not sure if same for kitties. and it (1x/day) has brought it down..

his numbers have been lovely.. 😮‍💨 i wonder if his pressure has been a contributor. pressure can affect the effectiveness of insulin (causes resistance..) in addition to the health of the veins.. etc.. i wonder. if thats why we’ve had to go up so much…. Sigh. gonna ask his doctor to see if she might have something to offer on it. 🫶🏼 he did so good. so brave. (eye doc.. theyre too far tho.. but idk where else to go. 😫😫😫)

cautionary to anyone else.. check yur kitties pressure. esp if older.. and noticing changes. you never know. 🫤

❓❓❓: so hes pretty high frm the stress of today.. i think. think ok to give him his full dose?? (cause number is influenced by this..)

I think 195 is a fine number to shoot.
ty!!! 💜 nice to hear cuz we did that haha.. (honestly it being elevated in this case he just gets his dose far as I know/based off his numbers rn etc.. right? ugh. ✨)

I'm glad his bp came down a bit, but 180 bp is still too high, I can see why they suggested the meds be upped.
if BP has been affecting his numbers.. the medicine.. this whole time.. now im really concerned. ☹️ im a little nervous to increase the BP meds cuz what if that helps the insulin work like it usually did (because his pressures better/more normal).. and now hes a lot higher, the Lantus?.. 🫤 or should it be ok? might u know if there been any study/observations on this? (BP, diabetes)

ive been dismayed this whole time too why hes had to go up so much.. number of things…. but seems his pressure being better has helped things also maybe..

(i left a note w his primary, at the specialists suggestions also, on his BP med increase, and she just said to defer to the specialist, what they said…. sigh.)
