Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug want to make their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! I have to admit that they are pretty good! They finally learned to keep the cheery cherry whip on the pies, and stop squirting it all over the kitchen. So..... ts left of the cheery cherry whip for my brews... YUM! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!AND!!!! We gots an extra special treat for today: CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. Mine was rather low key, and I'm not sure that I really did do much. I managed a shore walk yesterday and also worked on some things for Nichols's space here at the house. I elected not to go hiking, and will save that adventure for today. He's what I wrote in Last night's post about yesterday: "Woot! Sunday night... Where did the weekend go? I did make it our for woods to ashore walk this morning, just after 7AM. Tt was a nice walk, sun has just broken through, can't quite call it first light, but it was close. That has to be my fav time of the day. Akin to a fresh start I guess. It was still a little foggy, but some of that early morning sun managed to poke through. well anyways - nice walk down there, explored the trails some, got maybe 6 miles out of it. no complaints. I built a bookcase, 6 footer, in the after afternoon, woo hoo! ;-) well, a pre-fab one, but still i got it done, no thanks to crappy directions, and my general lack of carpentry skills.   it came together fairly well. I've been meaning to make the little guys space here more kid friendly, so built and put a bookcase in that room for all his stuff, not that there's alot, but it will get what there is out from under foot. I also got him too a RR/tunnel mural that covers half of one wall, ceiling to floor. He just loves trains, so I hope he will think this train tunnel is kinda cool. I also got a smaller mural of a locomotive chuggin' through the mountain slopes, also very cool. That one I still need to get on the wall. so, new digs done today for the little guy, 85% complete." Picassa link: more Meadowdale...

Normalcy in MusketeerVille.   cat_pet_icon We ended up with a very sunny 75 degree day yesterday, after some morning fog. Elsa took advantage of that and spent most of the day outside, sunning on the deck, or on the park bench out in the yard. She loves it out there as much as Mannie did. Bug spent most of the day sunning in the sunbeams in the living room, just chiilin' out with the sun and a few nanners. It so reminded me of what Mannie would do on sunny days if he wasn't outside. And Lola? well..... Lola is still Lola, and there is never ever a dull moment here. She is still trying to figure out an escape route to the great outdoors... she just doesn't give up! She was my helper yesterday when I was putting together that bookcase. I'd gone to grab some of the hardware, screw or whatever, only to realize she was batting it around the floor. When I finally got it all put together and in the room she decided it was hers, and went to sleep for a few on one of the shelves. ah Lola.... I finally repotted some of the plants, got some more dirt in others that she has removed it from, only to have her show up for that too. She must have a "fresh dirt" sensor that goes off anytime she senses dirt that has been messed with in the house. She always shows. Had to help me water the plants too. Wet dirt is so cool ya know....  YUPP!! NORMALCY IN MUSKETEERVILLE!

Have a great day everyone! I will be hiking today, and out the door as soon as I post this, and after I toss a coin to see where I will be going.  I had wanted to go the the outskirts of The Enchantments" near Leavenworth, but after reading the hike description I discovered that it is more open slope than not, and it is 90+ degrees in Leavenworth and.... one has to climb, ALOT (!!), so I think I will wait a few weeks before going there. I may just be the North Cascades today - which is fine in itself. I LOVE the North Cascades! I will try and get to condos when I can.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

I know...where do the weekends go?? It sounds like you had a very productive Sunday. Not at all surprised that Lola helped you build her new bed  ! Maybe she'll share it with the boys, if they're lucky  !!!

Have a great hike today!!!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics. I so agree on that bookcase: I did it! and it hasn't fallen apart...  I think so too on the boys. and Lola: silly cat, she claimed it as hers.

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) I could not agree more on that. I blinked and it was monday. ;-) oh too funny on Lola's new bed. true! she so had to help. LOL on the sharing it with the boys...

HAVE A GREAT MONDAY everyone! I am off to go hike.

Hey Lil Bit Pit,

My bean asked me to place her order nice and early, but I decided to sleep in instead! Ha ha, the bean will have to wait for her treats! Anyway, she says that she loves Cheery Cherry Monday and wants one of everything and one whole cheery cherry cheesecake too! :o She is not supposed to eat that, so if you do bring it, make sure that Lola and Bug get their paw and whisker prints all over it! That may stop her from eating it!

Oh and for me, I kicked the bean out of bed and took over, so I'm having a breffis in bed party! Hurry up and finish your deliveries so you can come over and take a nap too!

Hi Michelle,
Boy, you got tons of stuff done yesterday! Neat about the bookcase ( um, i mean Lola's new bed?)! And the pics are wonderful, as always.

I hope you had a good hike in the Northern Cascades today and look forward to seeing your photographs. Scritches to all the kitties and hugs to you,

Ella & Rusty

Elsa, the ~O) ~O) was needed this morning. Not only did it taste good, but it warmed our hands in the icy cold cabin!

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Incredible would be mine. :-D I did go hiking today, it has been a long day on the road (3 hours each way), but the allure of those mountains in the North Cascades won out again. I threw weather predictions out the window, caution into the wind and went for a hike that has been on the to do/repeat list for about 4 years now. I headed up the Cascade Pass, and then Sahale Arm from there, I did this one about 4 years ago, but due to time restraints (Mannie needed his insulin! Priorities!! :-D ) I didn't get far at all onto the Arm, not even a tenth of a mile, and vowed I would have to get back. Today I did. It sure does feel good to make a goal. successfully. Sahale tops out at 7200 feet, I did up to about 6900, just shy of the glacier. I sat there for a while just taking in it all, the glaciers, the mountains, vistas, all of it. You get caught up in something like that, it just consumes you. I felt so alive up there, just absorbing all that lay before me. What a feeling.... all told I did about 11.5 miles, climbed close to 3000 feet. I could use a tall frosty cold brew, and a cheeseburger, a bacon cheeseburger... LOL. This bean is tired! an hungry!!  I will post the Picassa links to the photos and the videos in tomorrows condo.
