I am getting pretty discouraged with all his ups and downs. Last night was not a good night. I think he was feeling crappy and he started taking it out on Dallas by playing too rough and biting his brother...

I took a look at your spreadsheet at 50-75% magnification.

The numbers seem to be shifting higher as the insulin dose increases. I'm wondering about an inverse curve.

BJ, remember that Cedric is a DKA survivor with chronic pancreatitis influencing his current numbers and barring very low numbers, I think the safe thing to do is slowly raise him to the point that he has better numbers or a very low number (below 50) before reducing.

Part of me agrees with BJ's thoughts and part of me is not sure. I am thinking about a consult with the fiancee/vet of a new co-worker who specializes in diabetes and nutrition. I am willing to try anything at this point. I think Cedric's pancreas is like my dad's MG. Sometimes it just wouldn't start.... [MG is a British sports car, and my dad has had 3 of them]

He's a lower tonight, so maybe that is a good sign. He's being a little clingy tonight. Dallas goes to the vet tomorrow, so I am working from home and will be able to check Cedric starting at +6 or so (I don't think we will be home in time for +4). Fingers crossed, but he might be moving to a 3.5 dose tomorrow night...

Which is why I didn't suggest changing anything; I just wondered about it.
