Good Morning Lantus Land!!!!

Well Attie is feeling much better since his sponge bath last night. It looks like the bath mousse worked and cleaning up that greasy, oily mess on his lower back. I really didn't want to have to give him another full bath again (4 weeks ago), but his grooming skills for that area are lacking. It also gave me a chance to really check out his skin condition in that area as he is very sensative to touch back there. I got a good look at the area this morning, now that he is dry, and the mousse did a darn good job. I think I need to run the fine tooth comb through later today, but the eewy undercoat fur appears to be better. I don't see any reason for the creepy crawly or sensativity, although I did read it can be from the diabetes and poor grooming. So with it being much cleaner...I hope he is more comfortable. He sure seems much spunkier!

Here I am I sendz dat bean out for some of my gravy and she done comes back with foaming bath suds....I'z now smell likes a darn water lily! ~~Attie

Hi guys .. so glad to hear the mouse worked on attie .. I can't imagine feeling greasy feels good .. I'm sure he appreciates all you do for him .. now atlas, let's turn these numbers around ok? have a great weekend guys!

Now Attie, what are you doing requesting gravy? You've got to earn that good stuff! :o

Glad the sponge bath was a success! I use some bath wipes on Smokey sometimes- I can't imagine trying to give him a full bath- I would be torn to pieces!

1. Bounce
2. New Pen started 9/7
3. Foaming bath stuff?
4. broken trend


I am tending to think this is indeed a bounce and a dose reduction is the correct direction to attempt...again.

well - i don't think i can suggest anything about your questions, but i sure hope mr attie turns around (you listening attie?)

what was it you used on him? surely they wouldn't have sugar/carbs in the ingredients! i've been using Pet Wipes (like baby wipes for animals) on punkin cuz he grooms me, grooms his face and grooms anya's face very thoroughly, but somehow he doesn't get his own back at all. the wipes are better than nothing but if i could make him smell purty and moussie that'd be cool too. when they look greasy they look sick, even if they're not especially sick.

I am thinking potentially last night. I had provided him with Taste of the Wild fuds for overnight ...which is higher carb since he tested at 61 before bedtime. All the fuds were gone this morning... Now we have the climb?

Sienne cautioned me the other night too as I went from 0.25 to 0.5s to 0.5....this doesn't appear to be a drift up...this looks like a bounce to me. He has been blue/green for a while...although he did this trick of rising back to need 3.0u twice before too.

If my crystal ball were reliable, I'd say that Attie may have gone low and this is a bounce.

Ok so we shot throught the bounce...drop the dose back to ....0.5s or 0.25? I am tending to agree with you Sienne...he was not bouncing very hard from those 30's...so this is pretty hard for him as of late....
