Nice preshot today! Not too much downward momentum (compared to some days), but just to be safe I gave him a little extra food at +2, moved his meal up to +3 and gave a little extra for +4, plus a slice of zucchini that was already in there as a placeholder.

I hate to hold him in the blues - but I really feel like if I can keep him from bouncing for a few days, we might actually get somewhere. Plus, after Saturday, I'm a bit scared leaving him home alone. Though I didn't see the +2 crash today that I saw on Saturday, it's still a relatively low preshot number for him - and I'm a worrywart kitty momma.

One question on the Ps. Tink grooms a lot (preening is one of the Ps, isn't it?), which is normal for him. But I've noticed... some days he looks perfectly groomed - but others he looks like he forgot what he was doing or something. There will be little cowlicks of damp hair sticking out all over his body - like he was licking himself (or being licked) and then just moved to the next spot. It's comical... but I want to make sure it isn't anything to be concerned about. His demeanor seems unchanged.

Sunny yellow start is much better Tink! How about some nice blue surfing today.

I wouldn't worry about the cowlicks. My civie often has what I refer to as his punk hair do days.

Hi Jen, I have not posted on your condo before so wanted to do so- nice to see another Western Washintonian! :-D What a nice yellow cycle for Tink, perhaps to be followed by a dip into the lagoon! I am so curious, did I read correctly, you feed him zucchini? Is it for fiber purposes or just because? Inquiring minds want to know!

Nice start for Tink today! Almost in the blues at AM +2. And then what happened?

With five kitties, one FD and four civilians, we see lots of spiky hairdos from interrupted baths or group bathing sessions. Before diagnosis, Eddie looked greasy.

 Well... Tink is an interesting feline. Since his diagnosis - well... since his appetite returned AFTER his diagnosis - he has an insatiable hunger. He will eat pretty much anything. He steals tomatoes off the counter (usually ones I've already cut... but he did take an entire large tomato last week when I walked to the market), he will lick any un-rinsed dishes in the sink, he scours the stove for crumbs... and he was once caught gnawing on a zucchini that was larger than he is. SO... in an effort to feed him something as a filler, but without adding much caloric or glucosal intake to his diet... I researched the nutritional info on zucchini. I found it's very low in calories and nearly zero carb - and has lots of water... so I let him have it as long as his bgs are reasonable. It seems to satisfy his tummy for awhile and also SEEMS to maybe help with the occasional constipation issues as well.
