Oh he wants it. He even turned up his nose to canned and requested steak. I gotta moderate if he’s going projectile it onto my nice area rug. Always on the rug. It’s like there’s an invisible puke target that only cats can see.

It's not invisible any more! Only my bedroom and closet have carpet, the rest is laminate or granite tile. I swear as soon as they feel the urge, they run for the carpet, standing right on the tile side of the tile/carpet border and then let loose. Run even faster if I try and head them off into the other direction.

YES. This could not be more accurate. Like riiiight on the edge where it's harder to clean.
Haha, yes, we have herded him before. I yell for cat dad to cut him off at one end and I stalk him with paper towels in hand, trying to herd him away from the carpet.
