Good afternoon all!

It's 11:40am and I just sat down to munch on my breffis! Oh, what a day! Nothing bad...just busy...and it doesn't slow down from here. It was a repeat morning for Shasta (for the most part). Snuggles last night, purrrrrs and chatter this morning, did pretty well with eating her breffis (though, she does still like when I coach her through it... lots of praise and holding of the bowl! SPOILED ROTTEN!!!) Now, to try to catch up on a little paperwork...yeah right, catch up...still sinking!

Hope everyone has a glorious Friday!!!! TGIF! ~Deborah & Shasta

AMPS=239 (10% w/ 13% - 1.1oz)

Relatively lazy night for us. We just got pounded by a large, slow-moving thunderstorm and I'm kind of ready for her numbers to start moving up so that I can crawl into bed! Shasta's appy has been ok. Even with the 13% Friskies mixed into her "healthier" food, she still isn't gobbling it up. I'm sure if I put down Friskies, all by itself, I'd see a different side of her!

On a different note, I'm on the facebook feline diabetes page and someone just commented that while at the vet's, their cat's BG was 79 (2 hours before shot time - which the vet and owner thought was very low). Then the owner commented on how she was at the bottom of the bottle of Lantus and was wondering if anyone had noticed that they, too, got low numbers when at the bottom of Lantus bottles because of possible higher concentrations of Lantus?! ohmygod_smile

Maybe I shouldn't have joined that group...now I just feel like I need to fix everyone. Problem is, I don't have all the answers and I'm not expert on the subject, but I still feel like I've gotten lots of questions answered because of this message board!!!! SO, thank you to all of you who have helped me (and the countless owners) help make a better life for our furbabies! Thank you...especially the all-knowledgeable Marje, Sienne, Jane, Liz, Libby, PeterDevon (still don't know you're real name! :-D ), and so many more! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Hope all the kitties are happy and healthy, Deborah & Shasta

I think it's officially the weekend.
I was hoping Shasta might give you a little excitement while it's a good time for you.
At least she's in the Green.
Maybe later .....

Yes, this is an amazing place! :-D Zener is thriving because of the help we've gotten here, that is certain. BTW, Devon is the one who posts under PeterDevonMocha. Mocha is the OTJ cat (you should look at her spreadsheet sometime, it's amazing!) and Peter is the DH. Shasta is spoiled rotten? Really? I never would have guessed that.  Then again, isn't every cat here spoiled rotten? Happy weekend!
Liz

Beautiful curve Shasta! Go surfing on  !
Even the best feline vet in HK was telling me not to do "so much" home testing. What can we say about that?
Have a nice weekend Deborah!

Oh my what a lovely night so I think your sweet girl read the condo that you wanted to go to bed early!

Aaaahh...thank you! Lots of great members here always happy to help.

I don't think lantus is more concentrated at the bottom of a vial

Have a great night. I'll smooch Lil Stinkas belly for you  ;-)

Re: 9/7 Shasta PMPS=236; +1=222; +2=144; +3=96; +4=79; +5=11

Lantus doesn't get concentrated. It's not a suspension and doesn't need to be rolled or anything before use. It's uniform throughout the vial. At least my vet got that right! But the other vet at the practice said that she just turns it over once "just to make sure." Sigh. Yes, all the information here is wonderful with so much experience behind it. My vet is knowledgeable but not an expert with experience like here, but she's willing to listen to what I bring to her.

Hope you're having a great sleep!
