Arg I got a furshot. He jerked away as I was injecting and I didn't get it all in. Think I got more in than out though. Might be a blessing in disguise though, 8u is kind of a lot and he's been dropping steadily.

Sometimes I don't know which is harder, measuring the exact amount on the syringe with the caliper or giving the injection without having a fur shot :eek:
Sometimes it takes me so long, I wonder where all the time went:):)

I'm going to stall 15 minutes and test again. I don't like that he's falling right now and how fast he fell over the past two hours. The 8u dose is making me real nervous at this level. And this mornings cycle didn't help since it didn't make any sense.
 
120@+12. Okay, coming back up. Fed and dosed with 8u. Still think we're gonna get low and need steering soon but he's coming up so it shouldn't be too bad and I'm confident enough in my testing and steering that I can handle it.
 
Justin, just curious, how do you steer with the raw diet? Do you add carbs somehow, or supplement with canned?
 
You had nine cycles at this dose with no green. You might want to consider an increase. Partly I say that to see how he responds, but also to out the thought in your head if you don’t see green tonight.

A cat needs what he needs. IAA cats need green.

Is he pulling away from the syringe more now? Wondering if he is feeling the Lantus sting at these higher doses.

It was just the location. I tried on his hip and I find it's harder to get a good fold in that location. He's been fine with the shoulder and back of the neck so I'm just going to stick with that.

No greens that I recorded. Have to look at more than just the colors. His +11 two nights ago was 100 and then 107. He almost definitely went green that night. Same thing last night, 189 at +2. 109 at +5, 131 at +9. Fairly likely he went green there too. He's clearly skirting the line and his average is dropping. Greens are probably already happening and we'll be seeing more of them soon, no need to drive too deep and trigger more bounces, which we're seeing very little of right now.
