Our last post was on Friday when we took Pedro in to the Vet's looking like a limp noodle viewtopic.php?f=9&t=24027

We decided to go up to Maine anyway as we could stay in phone contact with the vet. We were able to spring Pedro Sunday morning - the vet was so happy to see his tail going out the door. As he said to his tech's that were commenting on how well behaved Pedro was for his first 24 hrs-"not good- 'cause this isn't normal for him". So after a couple days of fluids, penicillin, higher bupe dose, he returned to his savage self and terrorized the clinic.
He is now on clavamox for a week as he had a slightly elevated temp. Vet "thinks" it is still the pancreatitis issue. I agree and nothing else we can do really anyway.

I decided not to mess with his insulin dose until I had him home for 24 hours and was settled in. (He went up to ME with us after he got him from the vet)

So this AM he was in the very low 300s. He has not dropped out of the mid-hi 200's for the testing I've done since Sunday night. Don't know what he was at the vet's but I'm sure it was high just due to the stress. Thinking tonight I will up him .25U.

Thanks for all the healing vines - he continues to need them as we try to get the pancreatitis under control.

Glad he is home....so good to see your post...
