Caught a 39 last night

I shot through the (expected) bounce this morning. Papaya was still very snuggly and sociable all morning so seemed to be feeling okay despite the high numbers. It cleared to a yellow PMPS today and I shot the reduced 1.25 units.

Since it's often the night cycles that drop low, followed by high AMPS, I decided to try spreading her food out even a little more for PM since I'm here and awake anyway! Tonight I fed 1 Tbsp of 8% carb Friskies at PS, +1, +2, +3, so I didn't test again until +4 to see where the cycle was going (because really, what else would I do if I saw a dropping number other than feed the same way?) Well, where it's going is DOWN again - 46 at +4. Fed 1 Tbsp of 14% which is her MC. I'm sure this is just the depot talking but I'm glad I took the reduction.

Looks like it may be a late night again!

Yikes! Good catch on that 46. Surf a little higher now Papaya.  Too bad Papaya likes to party in the nights and bounce during the day. I can sympathize. I guess it's better for you going to work though.

Thanks for stopping by, Wendy! I think this dive at night, bounce during the day thing will work out perfectly if I take an air mattress to my office and sleep there

Hi Amy - Just love those night-time lows, right?? I think you have a good plan - just get caught up on yours sleep at work!! Hoping Papaya gives you a little break tonight!

Have a great night!

Hi Dara! I do a lot of knitting at work, so why not napping . . . (small property management company, I am the whole office staff, sometimes there's just NOTHING to do) . . . except if the phone rang when I was actually asleep I'd probably have a heart attack. I HATE waking up to harsh noises. Thank goodness for cell phones that let me pick a quiet song to wake up to, when I'm not woken up by the intense stare of a hungry cat instead that is

How about a bit more HC to get Papaya out of the 40s? Maybe you should bring Papaya to work with you.

Re: 9/7 Papaya AMPS=580 +4=487 PMPS=250 +4=46 +5=48

Hi Sienne, thanks for dropping by although when I see your name in my condo I always wonder "what have I done wrong now"!

I was just checking back to post the +6 which is 59. Papaya stayed pretty level between the +4 and +5 which is why I stayed with the 14% instead of switching to the bigger guns, and +6 is now up a touch to 59, so I think it was the right choice. I am going to give her a bit of her regular 8 or 9% Friskies now so she doesn't head back down over the next hour or two, but it's past midcycle so I think that's all the action I'm going to see tonight.

As to taking her to work - I've considered it, and a few days ago when I shot a 56 I thought that's what was going to have to happen, but she went up instead of down so she avoided the trip. I work in an apartment building that, like every other one in this city, has intermittent problems with bedbugs so I hate to take anything I don't need to back and forth to work, including cat and carrier! Wouldn't want to bring home any extra critters, ick. But it remains an option if it comes down to that.
