Hi Y'All!!

Just wanted to drop by and say hi to everyone from Leo's condo ****waving****

I talked to DGp and Leo is doing well with his new dose (we went back up to 0.75) his ear is still meh....so so i guess, he's still scratching it. DGp has been washing Leo's ears and putting some different creams on it (don't ask me which ones, because he didn't know :lol: ), he really takes such good care of him while i'm at work.

The day before i left for work, while we were at the vet i got told that Leo weighs 17.9 lbs and needs to go on a diet ASAP! Well that hasn't been going so great since i've been gone, i told my father to cut Leo's portions by teaspoons.......well my mom was napping on the couch yesterday and she heard crunching coming from the kitchen.........guess who was going HOG wild eating Kibbles and Bits (he loves it!) :lol: What a stinker!! DGp said Leo really misses the crunchies and they are having to watch him when its chow time for the dogs otherwise he's in there like a dirty shirt. Also he caught 4 mice on Monday and ate them all up and still demanded FF!!! Well geez no wonder why Leo weighs almost 18lbs :o

1 more full day of TBP and its home time for me on Friday!! Can't wait to see my kitty!

Holy cow! 18 pounds? That is like two of Tarragon. :lol: :lol: :lol: Good thing Tarragon is there today hunting with Leo. Maybe it will put a little meat on his bones too.

Your dad is so sweet to Leo. That must be a great feeling.

No kidding that's 2 of Tarragon!!! Good thing Tarragon is at Leo's GP's, they'll put some meat back on those little bones, they do run a kitty catering company i suppose, 24 hour service all the time! :lol: Anything Tarragon wants, they'll get him!!! Also, I did ask the vet if she thought Leo needed liposuction.....he's got a very saggy old man belly! :lol: :lol:

I'm happy to have my 3G back at work....i had no computer either!! I've been leaving my laptop at home and just bringing my ipad to work.....well my ipad is useless without the 3G network.....and i need my computer to visit with my LL peeps!!!

Leo sure doesnt look like 18lbs in his picture!

Henry has to go on a diet also. Safe weight loss for cats is SLLLOOOOOW. Turtle slow. 1* to 2% per week. The best way to monitor weight loss is with a baby scale or a shipping scale that weigh to the ounce. Ebay is really cheap and you can often get free shipping on top of a deal.

I say if he can 'catch' his own food...he should be allowed to eat it...even if its 4 of them... :lol: ;-)

I think it's so cute the way your grandparents take care of Leo. Leo, 18 lbs., oh twice the size of Maggie. But no wonder 4 mouses he ate! Maggie is on her way there, too, to catch some mice. A very nice cycle today for Leo today.

Sounds like Leo and Do Lou both need to diet Do Lou varies between 16-17 with 16 being average and I think the perfect weight for his size would be like 12 for he is big for a aby but we have been trying to get weight off for a long time without much success its hard when all Do Lou does is sleep or eat :roll: nice numbers for Leo

heehee tracy, i miss you when you aren't here! what a funny post! total mental image of leo with his face in the dog bowl, CAUGHT! trying to get one more bite before dear grandpa takes him away from the kitty crack, er, uh, doggy crack! :lol: :lol: love it.

my felix was such a moose - he was like that. he'd lick the floor to get crumbs - he got up to 24 lbs before i got him losing weight. poor little guy, ok, not little, but poor guy - he got 1/4 cp crunchies twice a day and that was it. he was always scavenging trying to find more to eat. little hoover.

Champ weighs 18.5 pounds and refuses to use the treadmill to help get it off!!! He needs to lose 4 pounds, but it's so hard to ignore his crying when he's hungry!!! Maybe grandpa needs to just give him a teaspoon of the FF if he knows he's eaten a mouse. I know, I know....easier said than done!!
 
Yep my Leo is a big dude and always has been. I asked the vet what his optimal weight should be and she figured between 15-16 lbs so he's got a ways to go yet! He's pretty active tho, always busy outside patrolling for mousies!!
 
The Kibbles'n'Bits fiasco gave me a good giggle - great visual! I don't have exact numbers, but I know a couple of my civvies could also use a diet, too...and I really feel like I don't feed them all that much, since they do get measured portions!

I'm sure Leo will be very excited to see you on Friday!

18 pounds?!?!? He looks like such a petite quiet kitty in his avatar... little did we know! And I thought Mannie was a big guys at 14.5!

I love the story about eating 4 mousies and still demanding dinner. LEO! DUDE! well the kibble story is good too...
