Morning ~O) ~O) and some good news! Last night Maggie left me a nice prezzie, and there is definitely a big difference in her overall behavior and well being after this event. The two days before that she couldn't do a prezzie, she was lethargic and looked like she just didn't' feel well. This is the third day, so it's an improvement as the last took a total of four days. I'm learning that in Maggie's case with the Megacolon, I can use as much Miralax as needed to help her along the way, dose to effect. The two other meds are twice a day and a set dose. Mags was very talkative last night and this morning wanting to play with her pole toy, which is the best clue ever that she's feeling well. I could tell just by her energy that she had left a prezzie. I promise I'll spare you all the details of the length, unless Detective Poo's inner German requests it. :-D
I hope my vial is still okay. I found the vial on its side this am, yikes! :sad: A bottle of Pepsi Next had also fallen on its side next to it. I didn't' think I had it next to the vial, so I'm not sure if we had a sonic boom last night that may have shaken things up! I'll be able to tell by her numbers today if I need to replace. I need to take my car in early this morning for inspection, hate that job but has to be done. They usually give me a ride home.

Yay for prezzies! Keep them coming Maggie! Nice AMPS today too. She must be feeling better. I'm glad to hear that the time between is shortening. You are on top of it, that's for sure.

Thanks Melissa. She definitely feels better after a prezzie. I have enough food and supplies for Maggie, but no good food here for me today! :-D So who is going to take care of me! :lol:
I think Mags will surf while I'm gone. I'll leave plenty of food.

WOO HOO! A PREZZIE! well done Maggie. and a very nice amps, and +2. No doubt that she does feel good. SO great to read that she was playing, and still wants to. Sure does sound like you have the mega-Colon thing under control. Good luck with the car too. That has to be one of my east favorite tings to do.... I hope yours goes well. SO nice that they will give you a ride home. With that +2 it looks like your vial may still eb OK.

I bet your insulin is okay. A week ago, I dropped mine twice in a row. I was so cat(2)_steam .
But I have those days where everything I touch falls or flies.


I was just telling someone else that I don't know how anyone orders lantus online because I can guarantee it's shaken ( a lot!)
by the delivery services. I worked there and all packages get tossed ( especially light ones ) as they load the trucks and then
the bumpy rides. So it must be able to handle a little bit of jostling.

Well, I think my vial is still okay, even though it was upset by the Pepsi pop bottle!

Thanks Michelle, and she does seem to be coming back to Maggie numbers. Thanks on the car. They did give me a ride home, as it's real close. I had a coupon from the Aito Club magazine for a good inspection, so it may be there the morning plus! I hope they don't find too many things wrong!

Thanks Donna :lol: on the poop and for the car vines. I did find some crackers in the vending maching while I was there!

Hi Amy, yes slowly I'm learning what is helping and also some help from other caregivers of megacolon kitties.

Thanks Devon on the car and Maggie. I know one of these days I will be forced to buy another car, but I'm hanging onto this one as long as possible.

Thanks Rhiannon for your visit. Yes, the megacolon is a challenge with the meds and balancing. I have to write everything down. One place on the kitchen counter are her meds, and she has my coffee table for her insulin supplies. Yes, surprisingly my juice is okay judging from the 74! :mrgreen: I also pick up my Lantus vial locally, as just easier, and I'm also afraid of the shaking.

Hi Helen, I missed your post earlier, as we posted same time. Thanks for your visit. We didn't quite make the green surf! Mags found some food I accidentally forgot to remove. :-D That's okay as she was hungry.

Thanks Ann & Tess for the :lol: "pun intended"! No, I'm afraid my car didn't pass inspection. I had this neat coupon from the Auto Club for a $34.95 oil & filter, lube, etc and a good inspection of the car. What happens is they find preventative things that need work eventually. My car is older and I'm not surprised as I heard some creaking. Long story short, it's still in the shop and I won't have it til sometime tomorrow morning.
It's still in very good shape; otherwise I would look around for another car.
