Since the Depo Medrol was what brought him out of remission, I'm going ahead and taking them when he drops below 50. I know with long-term the "rules' are 1 drop below 40 or a week of normal numbers, but so far he's holding his reductions and continuing to earn more so basically, I'm just flying by the seat of my pants. (with some wishful thinking thrown in for good measure)
I've always been hoping that as the steroid got out of his system, he might be able to go back into remission. Unreasonable? Maybe....but so far, so good. If he starts to not hold his reductions, I'll be more aggressive.
I've also been really sick this last week with a bad UTI so I've been doing the best I can to take care of both of us.
It’s possible. Charlie was steroid induced as well. Twice he came off insulin shortly after the steroids (first prednisolone, later budesonide) were stopped. So here’s hoping…
