Good morning all -

I'm not at all happy about this AMPS. You're moving in the wrong direction Emma! :YMSIGH: At least she's a very happy kitty this morning. She initiated playing with me while I was still in bed, which was kind of cute. She's not very playful, but we have a couple of little games we play. Usually I rub my hand all over her face to get her going, but this morning she shoved her face in my hand and acted like she does when we're playing. It's probably because she was starving and wanted me to get up, but it was cute.

Everyone else is staring at me right now, wondering when I'm going to feed them. Charlotte really doesn't like that Emma gets to eat before she does! She's the alpha dog, and can't seem to understand that Emma's not part of her pack. She follows her, checks her out after she uses the LB, patrols the house and makes sure everyone is in their place, including Emma. Everyone once in a while Emma gets upset when I'm poking her ear, and Charlotte comes running to see what's going on and thoroughly sniffs her all over, and then licks her ear when I'm done. It's sweet. :smile:

Anyway, the sad & pathetic faces are getting to me, so I'd better get them something to eat. I'll be in and out all day. Hopefully Emma will be coming down from those pinks ASAP!

Sounds like you have busy mornings feeding everyone. Cute story about Emma and Charlotte. Have a great day...looks like a nice one in our parts.

What a sweet dog! I wish I had more animals but one's enough right now.

there's quite a few kitties up in stinkus pinkus land this morning so while you don't like emma up that high, she does have company .. not mocha of course, she sky rocketed past the stinkus pinkus floor and headed for the awful red zone ... Have a great monday!!

Well, we haven't seen any green yet today, but she has a beautiful blue surf going on! I wouldn't be testing her this often, but she keeps showing up at her testing spot just about every hour. I think it's because she wants treats, but she's there so I get a test in too. :smile:

There ya go dear Emma. A really nice gradual decline last few hours. Quite a jump from 341 to 189....glad you decided to slow it down a bit Emma.

Emma had a great day today! Lots of blues, and her PMPS is a whole 100 points lower than her AMPS.

On a side note, I broke out the automated feeder this weekend, and had her eating out of it just to see if she would. It didn't seem to phase her, so I put the batteries in it this morning and found out that something's wrong, and the tray doesn't turn far enough when the next feeding time comes. It makes it about halfway. I'm returning it to amazon and have asked for a replacement. So, maybe next week we can get that going.

Hope everyone who had the day off today enjoyed it - we had a gorgeous weekend here. Makes it hard to go back to work tomorrow. :YMSIGH:

Hi Kristen, Those 5-comparrtment PetSafe rotary feeders are so aggravating. I've had the same problem. One thing you are "supposed" to do is push the "manual" button repeatedly until a compartment lines up with the opening. Then load the food. This usually works. But I found that I aways worried about it stopping "between floors", so I bought a CatMate C-20 2-compartment feeder. This works flawlessly and comes with its own freezer block, which fits underneath the food trays.
Sienne had two of the rotary feeders die on her in the space of a month. If I were you I'd return it to Amazon and buy a CatMate C-20. Good luck!

Ok, thanks Ella. I went on the amazon website earlier and asked for a replacement for this one. I'll see if I can cancel that and just return the one I have and order the one you recommended. Thanks!

wow the the feeder! I think I am the only one in LL that has had no problems with that feeder - it works perfectly: the trays, the rotation, the timing, everything, has for over 10 months now - now if I could just get Mannie to use the darn thing! Funny the feeder works, but not the cat - for everyone else it seems the cat works but not the feeder.

Nice day for Emma - how happy you must be. Awesome job Emma - how about a repeat performance?

this kitty really wants to be in the blues today - she's already back there at +2! Hooray!

I tried to cancel my order for a replacement feeder on amazon, but it says I can't because it's already being prepared for shipping. I guess I'll give the replacement a try, and if it doesn't work I'll order the cat mate C20.

Beautiful blue surf!!

Yup, that 5-compartment rotary feeder died on me -- twice! I have a 2 compartment one that's much lower tech and works just fine.
