Today is like any other. Ate breffis well. He's tired of Wellness, so it's back to only FF. Even the civvies dont like the Wellness, and Susan offered me hers too.
That makes me wonder about the discussion Ella was having with someone...I'm sorry, I can't remember who it was, about the change in recipe. This batch seems less firm than I'm used to.

He's been making me test in cube lately, and I am getting annoyed, so lured him out by shaking Temptatons bag.
I had to give him one.....anybody know the carb/sugar count in it?

Hi guys .. hmm, that's interesting on the wellness .. mocha and twix both snubbed their noses at it, but that was a long long time ago .. I'm not sure on the temptations carb count, but I do know Roni uses them with moonie to bring her up, you might message her if no one else knows .. have a great day guys!

Nice +3 Checkers! We tried Wellness once and Tarragon looked at me like I was crazy. It was so hard to get him off the hard and FF classic chicken is the only thing he will touch.

I use the temptations as well when Tarragon gets in that one spot under the bed that I can't reach and stares at me as I try. It is the only thing he feels is worth coming out for. I don't really see any fluctuation in his BG from just one but he isn't very carb sensitive. I also do use them occassionally when he is low and boycotting gravy, but I usually give 3 at a time to bring him up 15 points or so. :? I have never had luck with honey or karo and his BG's sky rocket when I have used either of those.

I've noticed inconsistency from batch to batch with Wellness more than any other fuds...however, I also did get a batch of FF that Trix did NOT approve of, too. I don't know if it's that they recipe has been changed, or they're just not terribly accurate with measurements when mixing it all up....no matter what, it's ALL gross to me :lol: !

oh wow on the cube testing...I can't even imagine how difficult that must be. Checks - take it easy on your mama bean. ;-) No clue here on the carb content of temptations... and yes on the Wellness. It used to be Mannie's main fuds, now he can take it or leave it. sometime its the best ever, other times it's forget this. Not too sure if it's the product or Mannie just finally after all these years of you serve it and i'll eat it have passed by the wayside. Sometimes he has issues with FF too. Sure would be nice if there was consistency in the batches....

I have to wonder about some of the "upper" end foods. We don't like wellness much either. If I'm lucky, she'll eat it once a week.
The higher end foods seem to be stickier. I have to wonder why.

I'll be interested in knowing what you find out on the carbs. Maybe I'll dig out the unopened treats I still have and use them for hypo kit.
I read someone thought pounce were like 40% carb.

I was feeding Rosy Wellness Core which according to the list is a MC but I mix it with Wiskas which is supposed to be a LC. Recent month I've switched to Ziwipeak but nothing change with Rosy's bg.
I may try the Wellness later on.

Barb, I always get a laugh from your condo, and now you are cube testing Checkers! :lol: I thought I had it bad testing Maggie on the floor under the footstool f the recliner. It looks like a nice slide for Checkers. Enjoy your day.

Ann, the only reason I don't drag him out, is 'cause of his bad back. It would kill me, if I hurt him.

I'm waiting for someone to come install new range hood, any time now. I'll have power turned off on this side of house.
Can't turn the main power off just to the hood.. Gotta take out the whole north side of home. :roll:
That includes computer....phooey.
I have a remote thermometer to tell me temp in fridge. If it warms, I can take insulin across the street to friends house.
I better go look at box to see safe limit.

nice blue surf there Checkers! BMG will get together to join you soon. Tess now has me feeding meals en cube! I can get her out (not easily) for testing and shots, but she always heads right back in. It's just easier to put the food in there w/ her than to try to keep her out!

I've had consistent luck w/ the 12.5oz. cans of Wellness Turkey being the chunkier kind which Tess prefers. I open a can, portion it out into those little plastic takeout condiment cups and freeze them. I take out a day's worth at a time and the measuring is all done.

Nice to see our boys hanging out together again today!!! although, that's always a frightening concept too.. hope they don't get into any sort of competition again!

Wow, Checkers amazed me again today, by staying out with strangers in the house. He slept in the cube, even with the men talking in the next room.
Then he came out at test time....I know he tells time.....and came right into kitchen with them.

Funny thing is, I know he'll hide under bed, next time the grandgirls are here.
I won't tell my son, his precious Checkers hides only from his children :lol:

Hi Barb:) Checkers has been a funny dude lately, hasn't he? :-D I've noticed that the consistency changes in Wellness from time to time. I shake the cans in the store to see if they are firm or soft. You can hear the liquid in the softer ones. Once you find a can you like you can check out the production code on the bottom and then pick the cans with the same date. It's kinda like picking a good cantaloupe :lol:

Barb, wow, just saw that 36! :o :mrgreen: Good idea with the reduction. Maybe Checkers is filled up from eating leftovers as to not eating.
