Not sure if this is NDW or what... Hoping he gets used to this new dose (soon) so I can see what he's going to do with it. Have any of you ever noticed that your kitty's bg's react differently to the insulin depending on where on their body it is administered? Shooter seems to do better on the right side of his body and around the belly/ribs. If I do the top of his hip on either side, his numbers don't seem as good and not only does he not like me messing with his left side his numbers don't seem to either.

Hi Heather,
I thought about it but haven't really figure that out. Of course, Mikan's all over the map so it's hard to see, perhaps.
Looks like Shooter is still on the bounce to the 55 he had on Tuesday? He will clear that soon and get to work!

I only shoot Jack in the scruff behind his neck, he won't stand for anything else- even his ears to test his BG- can only use the left ear- not the right or he goes wild. Also, Jack takes a longer time than most I've seen on the board to adjust to a new dose, up or down. We just reduced, he hit red and pink for the first four days (8 cycles) got a high green, bounced, and last night, on what should technically be the last cycle before increasing, hit some nice green, so I give Jack around 9-10 days for a new dose- just to make sure I know what he's doing with it- Shooter may still be reacting to the 55, or just trying to figure out what he wants to do...like Jack ;);) Good luck, hope you figure out the shot location and Shooter slides down safely :bighug:

I also only shoot in one location - the left side of Kit's scruff, sort of by her shoulder? And also team she only lets me test on one ear (it's her right ear). She brings out all the tortitude anytime I've tried to use the left ear, so I just stick with the one. It's the weird things you'd never realize could maybe play a role, but here we are. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi Heather.
I have others that shoot for me. I started to notice with Butch it depends where they shoot and how they tent so I now only have them shoot between his shoulder blades.

Thank you all for your responses. Super interesting and crazy how they all react so differently to getting poked and prodded. ;)
