Sorry we haven’t posted in a bit! We’re finally down to 2 more nights before we can see our kitties again 🥰

We spent the last couple of days in this idyllic seaside town called Kinsale. Today we did Blarney Castle (and are now heading to Old Head Lighthouse - @Elaine and Ember I’m not sure if that’s the one you went to?).

Ireland is beautiful and I’ve had fun, but I’m anxious to be home again. No matter how beautiful any place is, it’ll never be as good as the place with all of our cats.

When I’ve been sad missing our kitties, our sweet AirBnB cats have lifted my mood.

This handsome gentleman is Marcel. He is extremely naughty and likes knocking over butter dishes and breakfast pastries to eat them. He also likes licking up yogurt and then throwing it up afterwards. He loves napping on laps and makes air biscuits when he gets treats!

This elegant little lady is Joey. She was very skittish at first but when she learned that Marcel was getting treats, she quickly came to our room to demand her share! She’s so sweet that she even tried to bring us a dead mole as a thank you gift last night, though she ran off when she saw someone else coming.

I know that our kitties at home are being well taken care of, but I’m counting down the days until we see them again. Though I’ll also miss Marcel and Joey. 😻

Happy Caturday everyone!

Enjoy your trip, Connie 💞
So glad you’re having a wonderful time. Love the local cats to keep you company 😻
I’m so happy to hear your kitties at home are doing well with the sitters 💖
Yes, it sounds like your cats are doing just fine. Enjoy your trip!
Thank you! I keep telling myself that they’re doing just fine, but I miss them desperately anyway. It’s probably me with the separation anxiety problem not them 🤣🤣🤣

Aww Marcel and Joey are so cute and happy to hear they're keeping you company.

I'm sure your kitties miss you also but they're in good hands so try and enjoy those last two days.
Happy caturday!
🙋🏻‍♀️🐾🤗😻✨🥰
Thanks Karolina! I will. It’s been a big help being able to spoil Marcel and Joey in our kitties’ absence :)

Yes! I hope you like it. Did you kiss the Blarney stone?

I did! It was so cool. Thanks again for the recommendation. It’s crazy that such a small town like Kinsale actually had so many historically significant moments happen.

I only gave an air kiss to the Blarney Stone. I didn’t realize it was something where you’d have to lie down and reach down to kiss the stone with two guys helping you do it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

So glad you have a great trip, Blarney is so impressive by any chance did you stop on the way at the Rock of Cashel? Legends say it's one of the most haunted places in Ireland but the view from this ruin is amazing. If not you could consider it for the drive back to Dublin, it's not even out of the way, right on M8.

But I bet you are looking forward to see Moonie and I'm sure she will be so happy to see you.

Enjoy the last days of your trip and Sláinte

My mom decided to skip it too once she saw what was involved, but I did it! I scrubbed off my lips with hand sanitizer afterward though!!!! 😹 😹 😹 😹

Oooooh! I LOVED the Rock of Cashel! It was so incredible! Absolutely worth a visit, even if it weren't right on the way back.

The two guys there were making a big show of wiping off the stone after every visitor but I felt like it was a little performative. I also wondered if they were doing this before COVID 🤣

It was really cool though! Maybe next time :)

Awesome to hear about the Airbnb cats 🥰
And when you go back home, you will be so happy! It will be even more special to be with your kitties again... after all.

Enjoy the last 2 days 💗
Aww thank you! I cried this morning leaving the AirBnB kitties. They came and slept with us in our bed all night, and then saw us off in our van. I hope they’ll forgive us for leaving when they see how many treats we left behind for their owner to give to them!

Yes! The Rock of Cashel was so impressive. I didn’t know it was considered a haunted place but the view was truly amazing.

We’re headed back to Dublin now and will do the Guinness factory in the afternoon. Hopefully we can squeeze in one more thing before we take off tomorrow morning but we’ll see. It’s been an amazing trip but I’m ready to get home to the kitties :)

Agreed on Rock of Cashel, and also agreed on NOT actually kissing the Blarney Stone that has thousands of lips on it each day. Yuck!

Ireland is lovely, I'm so glad you didn't have to break out the swim suit. 🤣
I thought about it! Thank you for talking me off the ledge (to dive into the Atlantic to swim back) 🤣🤣🤣

Parker kissed the stone and I made him use mouthwash and sanitize his whole mouth before I let him kiss me again. Though I bet now he h
