@Rhiannon- (from Pirate Fitz): arrrrrgghhhh.... the Pirate settles down for no one! Not mommy not well-meaning piratical crew of another fine sailing vessel - The Black Shadow. If I nigh well wish to bounce, then bounce I shall from the lowest keel to the highest mast. arrrrggghhhhh...

@Rhiannon - (from crew mommy Shai) - so sorry - I just tested her and, well, she is a pirate. :? I, however, wish to thank you for your kind patronage of Fitzel's Pirate Cove - where the finest rum in all the vast North Hollywood Seas flows as easily as a well-bled ear. Savvy? So belly on up and hoist a mug. :dizcat

LOL - I can see Fizel is running this show...

Shai- you are learning to "know" that fitz is gonna bounce and when- this is a learning curve that you are learning!!! I am really proud of you !! Sorry to read of the emergency er trip and I hope all is okay-
It looks to me from spreadsheet the fitzel is actually doing from the wacky shot schedule (16 hours apart from shot time instead of the norm-instead of waiting a full 24hrs) shooting at above 140 looks like it is working-sorry it is hard on your schedule...but after all fitzel is in charge :)
hugs to all

Hey Sherry & Squirt - Pirates have first dibs on always running the show. ;-)

She is running me a bit ragged - but mainly because it's a workout to catch her, then hold her, for testing. She's gone from tolerant to feisty to squirmy to out right rebellion. Tonight she jumped just as I had the tip of the lancet against her ear - result - ripped ear and a lot more blood then I needed. This isn't the first time this has happened. Or she'll cringe back away from the lancet and jam my hand holding the kleenex to her ear and I end up pulling her poor ear in very un-natural directions. The test gets done, but the kitty is very unhappy. Mommy's not too far behind in that regard.

Had a vetty visit today with Amma - she's developed diarrhea and her appy went a bit south. Now we have two kitties on meds 2x day. Never a dull moment. Poor Maggers and Hobson feel a bit left out being so healthy as they are. (ANTI-JINX)

Hope all's well with you and yours -

Oh that pirate girl! Can you burrito her to get her? When Tobey was a baby and I had to give him Albon from a syringe, he was such a squirmy worm. But as soon as I wrapped the towel around him, he was the epitome of calm.

Also....I had problems using a tissue or cotton ball behind her ear as I poked so we got the lid off a contact lens case and we put the edge of her ear on it and do a very quick poke on the very edge of her ear with the lancet at an angle and voila!

Hope Amman is 100%...sending healing vines!!!

Oh dear, the Pirate is still protesting, eh? Any luck with finding and animal communicator yet?

I second Marje's kitty burrito suggestion - it has worked for many a fractious kitty! Also: Have you got any feliway spray? (They also make diffusers for whole rooms/homes.) You could spray the blanket/towel you wrap Fitzel in with the spray to help make her more calm. Another option is catnip spray - have you ever tried that out on the Pirate? Two of our cats go all spaced out and mellow on that, and the other two go crazy revved up, so you'd have to make sure first that Fitzel goes mellow on the nip

Hang in there!
Hugs
Jane
