Once again, I've let far too much time pass since I last posted a Champ condo. So much time, I hardly recognize anyone on the Board anymore!!! Thank goodness for all the diehard sugar kitties such as Mannie, Rusty, Tess, Gracie, Gabby, Trixie, Tarragon, Maggie, Checkers, Zener (I know I've left some out, but I miss you all!!!). It's nice to see familiar faces and to catch up on how everyone is doing!!
Champ has been doing quite well. He see's green on a fairly regular basis and pink rarely. His 30-day and 14-day averages on his meter are both at 149. His appetite is good (too good since I still can't get any weight off him!). His water intake has increased over the summer, but it is VERY hot here so that's to be expected. His litter box is normal (he still has the most odor-free poop ever!) He's getting around a bit slower, though he's still on the Adequan. He gets a dose every two weeks...anything less and he seems to stop to lick his shoulder and "wrist" more when he's walking (I'm pretty sure this is a pain reaction). All in all, he couldn't be any better!!! He's still the most lovable kitters ever!!!
I think the last time I posted, my sister and brother-in-law were moving to Texas. Well, they've been gone for a while and I miss them terribly, though Shari and I talk on the phone ALL the time, just like we always have! Mike has been working 70 hours a week so she's been a little lonely, but she's now living only 20 minutes away from our elderly parents and she's over there helping them out a lot. I thank God every day that she's there for them....they need her far more than I do, for sure!! My daughter is turning 21 this month (oh, where did the time go?) and my parents and sister are coming in from Texas to help us celebrate. I can't wait!!! They're all going to be staying with me and I've never been more excited at being forced to clean my house!!!
