WOW - and another great day yesterday - blue surfs, even some green. :-D I had a dinner to go to last night and ended up feeding Mannie 10% FF at pmps, to up his numbers while I was gone. I was elated to come home to a 119. I wonder what he would have done if I hadn't... :shock: , maybe :mrgreen: surf... Nice day! We are starting out today yellow at 289, up to 349 at +1 - a little bounce perhaps. I am with my daughter and son-in-law this morning - a short morning river hike, and expect to be back by +9. DH is home to monitor, food is in the feeder. Though I have to admit Mannie doesn't seem to think that it is OK to have food in the feeder in the morning - something new for him. He just looks at it with that "why is this working in the morning, and should I really eat that?" look. silly boy - yes Mannie eat the food.... :roll:

Mannie is in a great mood this morning - purrs so loud you can hear him throughout the house. ;-) Breffis #1 and #2 consumed, waiting on #3 before I leave. Once again I was supervised while I got ready this morning, scrutinized from head to toe, got the OK head rub once I was done. guess I passed. :lol: My hike gear got the once over scan with the "what, again?" look, and off he went to nap. Have a great day today Mannie, and I'll see you in a few.... (((hugs))) from your bean.

:lol: :lol: :lol: Mannie sounds like Do Lou food in feeder thingy I just do not know about this :?: since yesterday was my first day of using it for Do Lou with canned food for him DH had to work and he is usually home to feed him on my work days but our schedules have changed anyway Do Lou needs to get used to the automat but I think he is afraid of it or something I maybe need to use it every day for him to get him used to him have a great hike Michelle that was my plan today too but had a migraine all night so I am in jet lag from it so hope to hike tomorrow if cat is behaving and head is as well :-D Sorry I have been so MIA lately I feel so slack this week have not had any time at all to visit condos that or I have just felt so bad and then I feel guilty you know for missing out on how everyone is doing. Looks like Mannie had a great day yesterday :-D

What a great report for Mannie this morning despite the pink number. Love the purring! Enjoy your hike while Mannie surfs. Hopefully all of our boys will come down today.

Good morning to get out for a break. When Tess is high yellow I try to avoid the +1 test, that way I don't have to look at PINK. :lol:

Hi everyone! Thank you all for visiting Mannie while I was gone hiking.. Took longer (my daughter is 5 months pregnant, and well she just ran out of energy - 10 miles, though fairly flat, may have been to much for her) than I thought - :? missed his +9, made the +11, was glad to see the 159. PHEW! btw, and OT: hike was nice - a river one, with some very nice falls. Photos to be uploaded shortly to my adventure link below....

Sienne - I fed him 3% Wellness chicken this morning - not too sure why the +1 was so high. Baffling. The +2 was in line, so OK I guess. Weird, huh.

Hi Ann! Here ya on the +1. I don't normally do that one either, unless he is low at shoot time (dead giveaway of potential action for him), or unless I will be gone. Then it does tell me if it's a "normal" curve, or if he's headed for a dive. Then I know what to feed at +1 and +2 so that he will be OK while I am out and about. It has saved the day a couple of times...

Hi Lisa - it is so weird with Mannie and this darn feeder. I have been using it for a while for AM cycle snack at +9. He knows to come and eat when he hears it. But for some reason with the +1, +2, +3 AM cycle feeds he just stares at the darn thing. I mean - what the heck is the difference. I have to tell him that its ok - yes you can eat that, it yours so go get it. :o :shock: :? :roll: and then he does. I hope to work with him going forward to teach him to expect food in that thing in the mornings. And so sorry for the migraine. I do feel for you. Bummer on the no hiking - I hope you can go soon. I love hiking, such a salvation for me. and no worries on the being absent - sometimes life just gets in the way. :-D

Funny thing - I get home, and am greeted by the great big purring machine - he picked up where he left off this morning. It is just so nice to heart purrs like that when you walk in the door.

and for the good stuff: 159 @ +11. not bad, not bad at all. Thanks to everyone!

5 months preg and ran out of energy at 10 miles I am trying to think if I could have even hiked that far when preg hard to say but so glad you had a nice day Michelle I am taking Ann's advice and putting Do Lou's fav freeze dried treat in the feeder to see if that helps him to learn its a feeding device he is just so silly. Great + 11 for Mannie

I give the girl credit - she kept pace, manage the elev gain (not too bad @ 800 feet): she did great. but wow was she ever tired at hike's end. I wonder if I could have come close to that... :lol: bet she sleeps good tonight.

nice pmps Mannie and what is she having Michelle do you know a boy or girl yet for first grandchild ?? bet you are sooo excited I know I would be since I have all but given up on the grandchild thoughts I figure by the time they appear if ever I am going to be so feeble :lol: :lol: I will not be able to keep up

ah grand-kids... love it - our first, their first, and it's a boy. yep - all very excited. I thinks it is nice that they are already planning on taking this baby on hikes, lots of outdoor stuff. oh haha on the being too feeble when and if they appear for you - i was beginning to wonder the same thing for me. so i keep working on the not being too feeble thing. :lol: :lol:

I know my mom has gone nuts over becoming a first time gramma, and I just wanna spoil my baby nephew to pieces!

Hi Grannie to be. What does that make Mannie?? Sorry to be so late to get to your condo, but very glad that you had a good hike with your daughter and that Mannie is doing well tonight. He and Stu both came down over the course of the day. See you tomorrow!

wow - a great grand aunt? now that is cool. This is the first grand baby for our family, darn kid will probably be spoiled rotten - in a good way... :-D

It has been a good day for the boys. nice to see! Surf GREEN boys - safely while your beans sleep, OK?

90 @ +5.5. green surf continues. I have continued to feed LC - it seems to be enough for Mannie to hold onto the surf. DH will feed again at +8. Be good tonight Mannie....
