September 30 already, where did the month go? :lol: Yesterday Neko had her usual bounce recovery cycle day and then in spite of my plaintive request to her to get some solid sleep, she decided to go deep sea diving into the green muck again last night. With getting up an hour early for DH's regatta, this bean is seriously bagged. An afternoon nap may be in order.

If it hadn't been the middle of the night with an early morning coming up, I might have laid off the HC at +5.5 to see what MC could do. In the interests of sleep, I went with the big guns, which probably contributed to this mornings numbers. She does seem to be recovering much like she did yesterday.

We were up early this morning and didn't feed the cats right away. We were told in no uncertain terms that our priorities were incorrect. My morning scone had some serious cat eyes on it from 6 inches away! The bonus was that Neko did spend a bit of time purring on my lap while I had breakfast. I think she was happy to be on the lap, not just happy to be close to my food. :lol: The kitties got left for a while as I went to take pictures of the regatta (might be one in a Canadian rowing magazine article!). DH did fine, got beaten by all the young guys a third his age but beat the other guy is his age bracket. A lovely day for a regatta. Still seems a bit like summer. A couple of years ago we practically froze so the nice weather was much appreciated. Once I got back the +3 was fed as a +5 and Neko promptly went out for a stroll, then came in and attacked the nanners. Afternoon nap is now in progress.

@Lisa - thanks for visiting this morning. Lots of reading on last nights links, the overviews are a good way to start. It took me a while to get through the technical articles but the one with the color pictures is the best written.

I know what you mean about where did September go. It sure went fast, it seems like just a while ago is was September 1st and better cooler weather in these parts, and the fall season was just starting.

I hope Neko lets you get some sleep tonight and waits until tomorrow to show you some more green.

Hi Wendy -

WOW - less than two months post SRT and you're down more than 50% of her dose! Awesome! Even if the reds keep popping up, the in-between numbers sure look good!

That PMPS was the kind of number I was hoping for. Paws crossed for a good nights sleep tonight. But I said that last night too. :lol: I did get a short nap in this afternoon, but it wasn't long enough. Starting tomorrow night I will be sole BIC for a few days. DH is back to the family cabin Monday night as he barely dented the work it needs.

@Dyana - I got a bit of a nap, but can always use more! We are still having some warm days, but for much shorter hours of warmth before it gets cool. The furnace will be coming on soon.

@Carla - I so hope you are right on the timing. I'd like some decent sleep and the chance to try an MC experiment. It might be a bit early for green though, but blue would be nice.

@Lu-Ann - good to see you. I hope Grayson is doing well and hits that break through soon. I wish I could block the PS columns on Neko's SS, it would look so much better then! I keep wishing she'd stop those extreme bounces, but not yet. I AM really pleased with how she has been coming down the dosing ladder.

I want everyone to get good sleep but I also want everyone to get good low numbers.... nailbite_smile
I guess whichever way it goes tonite, somebody wins!

Looks like I'm getting up in the middle of the night again. Sigh! Gotta learn how to nap better during the day.

@Rhiannon - The score is Neko 3, Wendy 0 for the last 2 nights and tonight. At least it's no longer pink.

@Helen - As requested, I suspect the blue floor will make an appearance tonight.

On the 28th when Neko dove into the 40s, you posted: "Giving her LC may encourage it to kick in and take her down more. I'm thinking a bit more HC and wait until +6."

Having read all the info you posted in the links, I see your point about the working pancreas. But if HC bumps up Neko's BG (meaning, 16% carbs or more will push up BG), i.e. Neko is an acrocat that *does* foodspike with carbs, why would a lower level of carbs bring her DOWN rather than UP (albeit, up slower with MC or LC than with HC)?

Hope that's not a silly question!

HI Wendy - I must have missed your Condo yesterday in our adventures - sounded like a wonderful day, except for the lack of sleep part :shock: Congrats to your DH on doing so well in his age group. At our age, it's worthless trying to complete or even COMPARE ourselves to the young'uns. I love the scone story - made me laugh. See you later!
