Hi Barb, I get a kick out of Checkers' routine! I'm sorry about the pukus though. You asked me about other ways to get Miralax into Tux, so sorry he's having poo problems. Maggie sends her sympathies and says her Bean has some solutions that she hopes will help you. I had this in my condo, Barb, but just in case you miss it:
Awww.....I'm sorry Tux is having poo problems. I have a really good way of getting Miralax into Maggie. Would Tux eat some Gerber Chicken & Gravy baby food, Stage 2, the teeny jar, as it's like pudding. Beechnut & Broth bf isn't as tasty! After Maggie's shot and a small meal I give her a tsp. or so of Gerber bf, just add a few drops of water as it's a pudding like consistency and mix in a small amount of Miralax, like 1/8 tsp or less. Maggie licks it off the spoon and doesn't notice the Miralax.
Another way that Melanie and Racci recommended is to mix a small amount of water and Miralax in a prescription bottle. I just fill the bottle to 1/4 or a little more water, add some Miralax, and shake thorroughly. Syringe this into Tux, small amounts and this way you'll know he's gettting it in his system. You might only need a little as the first time I used Miralax on Mags (pre constipation) just a little gave her runny poo. Now I can'e get enough of it in her!
