Good morning!

It's rainy and windy here today. Achilles is giving us great numbers and I am so incredibly happy. I know we still have a long way to go and there's no telling what the future will bring as we all know FD and our sugarbabies can be quite unpredictable, but I am so immensely grateful to all of you on FDMB and particularly in LL for all of your guidance and generosity. Big hugs and thanks!!!!!!!!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
I shudder at the thought of where we would have been, and what condition Achilles would have been in had we not found FDMB. We started at 3 units of Humulin N once a day with a vet that obviously knew very little about FD. It's just terrifying to see the lack of knowledge out there.

Happy Thursday all. Let's see some nice surfing today!

A lot of vets use N. The vet at the critical care hospital where Gabby was treated initially (she was really sick) started her on N. My regular vet and her practice group are feline specialists. Her comment was that N is a better insulin for dogs. I also think that for many people cost is a big factor. N is no where near as fragile as Lantus and it's way less expensive. However, it doesn't have the track record of getting cats into remission or tight regulation. Oh well...

Keep up those great numbers Achilles!!
