Yesterday's Condo

Last day of summer heat seems to be upon us as storms are ushering in cooler weather... couldn't come sooner. Willie was extremely cross about the rain. He started grousing that he wanted to go outside. I assured him that he was confused and that, in fact, he very much wanted to stay inside. He was quite insistent, so I let him out. Poor bugger got soaked to the bone, then he came in and yelled at me.... I'm not sure whether the tongue lashing was for letting him out, or for lacking the ability to make the rain stop! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Was not the sleep in day of recuperation I'd hoped for. I once again forgot to close the cat doors before climbing into bed last night. Willie decided he needed to be outside at 1am, and when I went and made him come in, he decided my punishment would be to keep me up all night. :shock: :shock: Not cool, little man. Not. Cool.

I've had a productive day though... grocery shopping (great cereal deal that resulted in 20+ box donation to charity), massage, cleaning peaches... also made two batches of ginger peach preserves and a peach cake. I've still got some peaches to slice, but all are peeled, and I'm hoping to get a pie baked as well. Mr. DMV is supposed to be coming over for dinner tomorrow night. Need to get the house straightened up!

Sounds like you had about the same level of wake up call as I did!!

Hope you are feeling better. You were busy today!!! Whatcha' cooking for Mr. DMV? Wow...this is getting to be a weekly thing!! ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Too funny on Willie and the rain. I loved the being yelled at. Mannie will go out in the rain, come in and sigh alot. it's kinda funny. he and willie should get together and compare notes... but not on the 1am thing. so very not cool. poor Willie - he must have wanted to share all he found out there in the middle of the night...

Sounds like a good weekend so far... nice on all those peaches. Yum!! nice too on Mr DMV.

You got drenched - to the skin and everything??? dude - not cool, ya know. that bean should have fixed the weather. sheshhhhh,.... did she give you towels, and a warm massage, and a fur dryer and stuff?
