Hi Lantus Land,

It's the start of another week and gray and rainy here still. :sad: They're saying it will be this way all week. ugh! We are getting the tail end of Isaac. Well, it could have been worse and we could have got the hurricane itself. I just wish we had some sun.

Racci is really low again today. She had her bounce yesterday in reaction to her super low numbers the day before, and last night went down again. She will probably be green again today and I hope I can catch her before she gets below 50 and steer her numbers. I'll check her in another hour which would be +2.5 and see where she's at. She had a great appetite this morning and was happy and good natured and affectionate. Right now she is taking her nap like every day after meds, and cuddling her nanner between her paws. :razz: So cute!

I'm going to try to visit some condos before DH gets back from the grocery and I have to put the stuff away. TTYL

Looks like Racci is starting a good day and full of sweetness.

I had been thinking of unstitching our banana and putting in new catnip. I guess you just buy new ones.
I do have catnip spray that I refresh it with but it's getting old.

Hi Rhiannon,

I usually dip them in fresh catnip. Racci's nanner is getting dirty so I was also thinking about the nanner getting clean.

I wish we could trade the sun for the rain! Yay, we just got some sun at least. I'm going to test again now. be right back

Nice surfing Racci :mrgreen: now easy does it dont go too low! Rain from Isaac remnants started here Saturday night, sporadic yesterday, today is heaviest so far. After record drought all summer, this wet gray weather seems very strange indeed, I miss the sun. Have a great afternoon!

Here we are! Didn't mean to disappear. :lol: We got busy helping someone and then testing and putting away groceries and you know how it is. :lol:

Roni & Moonie, Racci was going to wear her green emerald dress but decided to wear the aqua blue and turquoise tiara instead. We'll be there. We're going with Pirate Fitz via some exotic islands. See you there!

Leslie, we've had on & off again rain and gray most of the day all weekend but what else is new for this whole month already! I guess I shouldn't complain too much. the rest of the summer was beautiful. You have a great day too.

Hey Alexa. The nanners are the cats' favorite toys! You have to get some. They're filled with Yeow! catnip. I got Racci's through Amazon. You can get it through the amazon link on this site and then fdmb will get credit. They all love them. They make perfect pillows, chews, lollies, kickems, snuggles, tosses and however else they want to use them. :lol: Racci has played with hers every day since she's had it and she's an old cat that doesn't really play much anymore.

Hey, Melanie -

Your weather sounds like ours, but honestly - even with the increased humidity - I sure am thankful for the rain! I keep reading about the fires in the drier parts of the country and difficult food growing conditions and keep hoping we'll all get more rain. Shame we don't have a pipeline to help flooded areas like LA by piping some of that rain to other places that need it!

Look at Miss Racci! Lookin' GOOD!!

Glad to read about nanner revitalization. I haven't ordered any because I was concerned about them not being refillable. Any thoughts on whether it'd be possible to unstitch them and add some velcro?

Nice day for Racci! Hope you get some sun. You can have ours but you have to take the temps too! :lol:

One thing that works with the nanners is to stick them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. It rejuvenated the catnip. Now if I could just figure out how to get them clean! :lol:

If I thought my rain helped the others who needed it I wouldn't mind but I don't see how since we can't get it to them, know what I mean? :razz:

You could unstitch it I guess, the thing is that when they have velcro the catnip always seems to come out and it's still a pain to wash. I was thinking of making a cover up for it instead actually out of a light material and just adding a little more catnip to the inside of the covering and using a couple of snaps. What I do now is just dip the toy in her jug of catnip but it's starting to look dirty from all the abuse it gets from Racci and DGS. That's why I thought of a cover for it. All I'd have to do is wash the cover.

Racci - hope you and your Bean enjoyed your day at sea, and all the exotic sunny islands we toured today. The clearest, most blue sky, the sway-i-est palm trees and the softest, whitest sands always seems to be near Port Royal, but maybe that's because that's where most of the Rum is. :lol:

Nice daytime numbers, now don't go all upper blue on your Bean just because the sailing day is done. There's always booty to discover and islands to plunder and good rum to drink and you're welcome to join us anytime!
