Yesterday was..... a resting day for Mannie, more commonly known as "The Bounce". It was expected. He hit the greens yesterday, both cycles. HC fuds were needed to keep his numbers up, so no surprise on the bounce today. He dropped fast, had alot of carbs, and was poked way to many time (in his opinion :lol: ). Today we hope for better numbers, maybe a nice blue surf, with some greens added for spice. Lubs ya big guy - you can do this! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D We had another glorious day n the PNW. Believes it or not we are set to break a "drought" record here. Yes, it is true! A record that has stood for over 120 years... no roans in August at all,. unheard of for soggy rain plagued Seattle. :lol: :lol: Yesterday's sunny skies added to the no rain streak. Mannie was right there to take advantage of all that sunny warmth. Lots of deck sunning, lots of yard patrolling. And of course lots of nanner sleeping. :-D :-D What would we do without nanners? :-D This morning we had a great test, feed (YES!!!!!), shoot and clean plate club (YAY, membership still intact), AND the auto feeder was ignored by Mannie, (again!) :shock: Elsa too (again)... Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone! I am not too sure what will be here today. I may go hiking if the weather looks good and Mannie gives me permission. Hope so! My DS and I have one planned for a hike to an old mining town here in the PNW. Should be fun. :cool:

Morning Melissa and yes on the ~O) ~O) just love it, too! Nice blue for the Manster and hope he can keep it going and give a special permit for you and DS to go on a nice hike. How cool with the two of you on a hike! Do you take a picnic lunch? I don't suppose there is a hot dog stand there in the middle of the hike? :lol: I guess you know what type of a hiker I am or would be on a hike! Wow on Seattle's drought. Hi Lesley - congrats to jasper!! It is all so exciting. I just love it when kitties make OTJ. And me too on Mannie - hoping for a nice blue day... Mannie is very busy putting the last minute touches on the arty... WOO HOO! Fun times.

Hi Ann - I had so hoped too with the blues, seems though that he wanted to check out the yellow floor for a bit. Well, that's ok, since i will be gone most of the day. A blue/yellow day will be OK. The hik will eb SO FUN! I am really looking forward to this one: time with the kid! And yes, we will take a lunch. OH AHAHA on the hot dog stand.... uh no. :lol: :lol: thanks on today - it will be good. and yes on Seattle's no rains: do you believe that??? unreal!

202 @ PMPS. Nice! Headed down from his 11. hmmmmm.... maybe he will make that Blue Grotto and the Blue Mannie Group can play Jasper's party. :-D

My son and I had a great hike - not much elevation gain (maybe 700feet), but we did log close to 11 miles. :shock: Excellent!! The views were simply outstanding. Right up close and personal with the mountains. Simply breathtaking... I will post some photos in Mannie's condo tomorrow.

Hi Angela - Thanks, - I think he did well today, probably at least made the blues. We seem to be headed there tonight. paws crossed!

Hi Barb - oh I know.... this is the son that I don't get to see very often, kid is so dang busy that when the opportunity is there I will never turn it down.It was so fun to share a day with him. Hike was fantastic too! and a big LOL on the hot dog stand on the trail.... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi Ann - yup - great number to head on out, came back to one that was so close to what we left on. no clue what he did today.... hopefully he made the blues. YEs on the weather - John picked a good week to be here: sunny and 70: perfect! and yes - no rain in Seattle for over a month.... unreal!

Love all those Mannie greens on 9/1! What's a little day of rest....but it's nice that he's toying with blue....and maybe some green for tonight at the party!

Sounds like y'all had a great day! Wow, on the drought!! I keep reading about our drought, too, we've been getting rain, but I guess it isn't enough.

Hi Marje - me too on the 9/1 condo - that was nice to see. He'll take a couple of days to "rest up" after that, he always does.... hopefully back there again soon. Still could be tonight too. and ih yes on our drought days. seems so odd to say that - we aren't nearly as bad off as the Midwest.

Hi Ella - yes, it was! What a gorgeous place... photos tomorrow, sadly the hot fog cart was nowhere to be found. :o not even in a few abandoned cabins we found with their abandoned kitchens.....

Hi Libby - we did!: an exceptional hike. Weird on our "drought". going on 46 days with no rain - very unusual for us. a few more days and we will have broken a 120 year old record. :shock: ANd me too on Mannie. I am sure he will, when he is ready. always on his terms with him.
