Yesterday's Excitement

Hopefully we'll at least have another curve today instead of climbing a mountain! I left hard food out last night by accident...it's gone this morning but that number gives me a clue as to who helped eat it...

It looks like your vet prescribed amoxicillin for a "possible" UTI. Did the vet to a cytocentesis (needle into the bladder to get a sterile urine sample) and then do a culture and sensitivity to determine if there's bacteria there and if so, what kind? Giving an antibiotic without a definite diagnosis can contribute to antibiotic resistance. This section on urinary track problems from Lisa Pierson, DVM's website might be helpful.

I DID get a pm....forgot to put it in the spreadsheet. +2 last night was 338. I'm sorry.....<insert REALLY embarassed look here>

No Sienne, they did not do a test to determine whether it was definitely a UTI. He doesn't get sick often - probably only has had about 3 rounds of antibiotics his whole life. He did have a little temp. I'll take in a urine sample to them monday as it will make ME feel better knowing.
