Any US beans have plans for this holiday weekend? It's a big move-in weekend for all the area colleges here... and there's a lot of them :shock: Most classes start next Tuesday. Traffic is going to be awful going pretty much anywhere :? I'm going to have a pertty quiet weekend. I'm not working on Monday :mrgreen: Normally I ened up having to work holidays because no one else wants but this time someone actually volunteered right away.

So my birthday is coming up :shock: My brother texted me a birthday message yesterday :roll: Way too early but I guess the thought counts. My family generally doesn't remember birthdays. Mom forgot last year and didn't realize it until several days later :roll: I was planning to take the day off from work in celebration but I can't now :? Way too much stuff to do now and no one at all to cover any of it :? I'll probably treat myself to something on my birthday. I hope Leroy and Emma doesn't leave me "gifts" :razz:

hahaha, that was too cute. my favorite moment was when :shock: the eyes like these looked out of the paper bag! anya even watched it with me. the video reminded me of the Simon's cat in a box, so i had to go find it. you all might have seen it before, but i like them so much i had to post it, just in case.

i missed Henry's video yesterday so will go look at it next. when is your birthday, squeem?

karrie, henry does look like a little stuffed panda bear with his fluffy rotund-ness! what a doll! i just want to hug him! my felix got up to 24 lbs and he did the bunny hop on the stairs thing too. nothing wrong with him, however, i think it was just his habit of how to do it, but i also think the weight made it worse. but henry's bunny hop combined with the lowered tail and the grooming issues, i'd guess a hip issue as well. maybe he's stiff or hurts.

Emma doesn't care for boxes or paper bags. She might chew on box flaps, as she does in the video, but she doesn't go inside to play.

Cute video That was so like Squishy. He loved playing in boxes, especially if it had handle cut outs and the box flaps. He'd paw open a flap, climb inside, and quietly sit in the darkness and ambush whoever dares walks past by sitcking a paw out ouf the handle cut out :lol:

Diabetic cats need a box from a pair of JoJo's famous insulin shoes :lol:

Thanks It's pretty soon. Growing up I always hated my birthday because school starts in September and everyone is busy with new classes, activities, etc and hardly anyone remembered my birthday. I was always jealous of the kids who had birthdays later in the year, especially those who had birthdays at the end of the school year. The teachers would always have a big party for those kids. Birthday parties just wasn't a part of my childhood.

oh yeah - my birthday is often the day after thanksgiving. try having a birthday party then when you're a kid. :lol:

so you might as well fess up about what date exactly, since now we all know it's coming! ;-)

You really have two beautiful kitties. So different and both gorgeous. I loved the video. It made my day. I loved Emma chewing on it LOL.

So awesome that you have a long weekend. You sure deserve to have a holiday weekend and not work. Sucks that you have to work on your birthday. I hope you do treat yourself to a gift.

I haven't replied about the responses to Henry's video. Brain is toast. I bought some new energy drinks. I wish I could really buy energy darnit. Not ready to work on becoming emotionally unblocked yet. ohmygod_smile :lol: So I may be tired for a lot longer.

He is only two years old and is 15lbs. He is very very fat for his body. He walks very stiffly. You'd think a young cat even with excess weight wouldn't seem like he's an old cat. We'll see what the vet says. The last time he was at a vets it was the same week I got him. So four months later I know him (Henry) a lot better. I'm going to bring the short video and add in the bunny hopping to show the vet and will keep everyone posted on the findings.

I took my birthday off from work last year :smile: I didn't do anything, though. Just hung out close to home, went for a walk, and treated myself to a chocolate mousse cupcake from the bakery

Target was a mob today :shock: Labor Day weekend sales plus back to school shopping for kids plus college undergrads shopping for dorm and apartment stuff with what seemed like their entire families :shock: I should have gone to the other Target several towns away where there are fewer college students (but probably more kids) but it was kind of late to go all the way out there. All I needed was a mailing box to return a pair of shoes that don't fit. I would have used the box the shoes came in but Leroy has claimed the box for himself and there are little teeth holes on the flaps where Emma has chewed @-)
