Hi everyone, I haven't been updating for a month. Been horrible around here for one thing. I've lost interest in about everything. I'm still testing Sammy every day and giving his shots. He is just getting skinnier and skinnier. The Hyperthyroid seems to be taking a toll on him. He's very high BG's and so I've upped his dose to a fat 1 unit. That helped for awhile but now it seems it's not. He is still eating so I am not taking the vets advice to have him PTS. He seems to be in no pain but groans a lot when he lays down. Could be he just feels like ****.If only they could tell us, I'd feel a lot better. I know we all would. :YMSIGH: :YMSIGH: :sad: :sad:

I don't have anything helpful to say except that your cat is beautiful, and I hope he can be helped back to good health.

Thanks, he did have a full year of being off the juice and I was hoping it would happen again. No joy there though, he's maintaining but I have never been able to get him regulated on Lantus. I don't know, maybe it's not the right insulin for him, he's old almost 19 and with the hyperthyroid I'm sure that is having an effect too. We carry on here and hope for the best. :YMSIGH:

You have beautiful cats. I love River. I've always been partial to black cats. Our first cat Strider was all black. He succumbed to renal failure some years ago. I still think of him and sigh.

Thank you. He's lived a long time with his diabetes. He doesn't groom himself now and he hates the groomer so we have been shaving a mat at a time off. He now likes to bite me when I try it. Little turd. :smile:
